The Officer's Meeting held on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, commenced at approximately 10:00 P.M. EST. Present was A Gata, Ice-Eye, Elsynia, BloodSniperXI, Herfi, Daiuin and Goldenboywva. Joining the meeting at a later time was RoJohn, Legisitapher, and Kronos.
If last weeks meeting could be summarized with the word, "communication" then this meeting could be outlined by the word, "organization".
It was discussed that most active Members are aware of the Guild's administration, to wit: the GuildMaster, the Senior Officers, Officers, Full Members, and Trial Members. However, this is only one part of our Guild. There is also a hierarchy for the Roll Playing Department. In role playing perspective, S'ren-ja is a town located in Elsweyr. For Role Playing, it is our Town. (Note: we are still looking for additional real estate, not used by other Guilds, to expand into for more housing and facilities. SUGGESTIONS WELCOME) For role playing, we have set up a Town Counsel. NOTE: There is no single person in charge. There are Factions in town made up of role players. The Factions are currently as follows:
Mages
Sword & Shield
Guard
Mercantile
Each of the above Factions has a Leader. Each Leader is automatically a member of the Town Counsel.
Factions are always in character.
Factions are used to plan Role Playing events.
Members may be in more than one Faction at a time.
1. DISCUSSION OF ROLE PLAYING FACTIONS. After discussion, a Motion was made to set up a Blue Skooma Website Poll as to whether Members want to add Factions, delete Factions, or change Factions. The Motion passed. Hear ye, any Member who wishes to make suggestions should do so by posting in the Forums ASAP. Discussions will continue regarding a change of Faction leadership.
2. DISCUSSION OF TAGING MEMBERS TO A FACTION. During discussion it was proposed all role playing members be tagged to his/her Faction for the primary purpose of determining who is active in Role Playing.
argument was made that not all Factions need such a structure. Further, reality was discussed in so much there are so few active role players, those in Factions are well known to other Role Players. This discussion died without Motion.
3. DISCUSSION FOR THE NEED OF ROLE PLAYERS AND ROLE PLAYING OFFICERS. How many ways are there to get this point across. Blue Skooma is a role playing Guild. It is not a PVP Guild. Although we all enjoy PVE and Trading, they are not our primary focus. We have a Role Playing Department, Senior Role Playing Officer and Role Playing Officers. BLUE SKOOMA NEEDS NEW BLOOD - active Role Players and Officers. After discussion, motion was made and passed that regardless of the amount of time a Member or Trial Member has in Blue Skooma, he/she is welcome to contact the GuildMaster or Senior Officer of Role Play for an interview to discuss your integration into the Role Playing Department. It was also agreed that any ranked Member who is leading a role playing event will remain in character during the event and control its ending. FURTHER, DURING ROLE PLAY, IT IS REQUIRED THE ALL FACTION LEADERS BE PRESENT OR THEY MAY BE REPLACED VIA A CHALLENGER.
4. COMMUNICATIONS. Motion made and passed that all Officers with have a verbal discussion with their Department Leaders once every two weeks.
5. ROLE PLAYING STORY LINE. Plans are in the making to finish up with Jhala this Friday. A Gata may or may not get married. A Gata may or may not be sorry if she does, or doesn't. The Mummy, Tilcno will be wakening up.
6. CHANGING MEMBER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS. As a follow-up to last week, Motion was made and passed that any Member may post in the Forums a nomination for "Member of the Week". All nominates will be considered at the following Officer's meeting and Officers will vote on "Member of the Week".
There was also discussed establishing an, "Officer of the Week". Nominates will be made and voted on during Officer's Meeting.
7. GUILD PRIZE BANK. Following up on last week, motion was made and passed that the Honorable Ice-Eye will kill off the old In Character Guild and establish a new Guild bank to hold all contest prizes.
8. SCREEN SHOT CONTEST. Time will be extended on the Screen Shot Contest until this Monday so it can be voted on during Tuesday Officer's Meeting. NEXT CONTEST THEME: Favorite Places
9. MEMBER OF THE WEEK. After much discussion and over the strong objections from the GuildMaster, A Gata was voted Member of the Week. When she realized she was not going to over turn the vote, all Officers said, "We Are Sorry".
END
