Name: Gandor the White
Sex: Male
Race: High Elf
Class: Sorcerer
Age: 25
Rumor: Gandor was struck by lightning which gave him mastery of the element!
Backstory: Gandor was a farm boy growing up in a poverty stricken family. Gandor's mother's family is close and an open book but his father's side was that of a mystery. His parents met after an unexpected storm rode into the woods outside the village of Dawnbreak. While growing up Gandor noticed that he was able to do things the other boys can't. He was able to move small objects not far but enough to scare with just a wave of his hands. Sorcery was not well liked in the Village of Dawnbreak and Gandor was shunned by the community. Growing up was hard on Gandor but his father always was there to comfort him. Family was everything to Gandor. His father taught Gandor how to use his magic for good and to not abuse it. Little by little Gandor noticed that his father had knowledge of the arts of sorcery that he did not think possible. Gandor of course just went along for the ride and went through basic control with his father. Gandor would not let the others of the town tease or bully him. He would just mind his own business and buy the groceries his mother asks for or run the errand that his father tasks him with. The years pass and Gandor now lives in a house next to his parents. One night on the eve of when Gandor's parents first met a storm swept through the lands once more. This time his parents would not meet each other... they would meet their fate.... During the storm Gandor was sitting next to the fire in his home when he heard a loud bang and saw lightning flash. He heard screaming and ran out the door of the water drenched land. Shocked to see that his parents home is on fire, he quickly regains himself and runs into the burning home to locate his family. As he brushes inside, he hears screaming coming from upstairs. It was his mother... Gandor quickly ran upstairs and found his mother on the ground unconscious. Gandor quickly acts and grabs his mother and takes her down the already fire tunneled stairs. He is able to escape and lays his mother under the tree just outside the house. With lightning striking all over the house, Gandor quickly jumps back to his mother who is regaining conscious. Gandor's mother who has just awoken is in shock as she sees her home engulfed in flames. She yells for her husband. Gandor tells his mother he will go look for him. Gandor leaves his mother under the tree while chasing into what seems to be Oblivion itself. Gandor approaches the house and as he is about to enter the front door he hears yelling coming from behind the house. As he begins his way to the back of the house Gandor sees flashes of light and hears lound banging as if the heavens itself are colliding in their yard. As his line of sight approaches the back yard, he sees his father who is somehow channeling lightning out of his hands and towards a shadowy figure. Gandor attempts to get a better visual of the shadowy figure but all he notices is that the hood the figure is wearing has a symbol of a dragon on a shield. Gandor catches the attention of his father has his father is struggling against the shadowy figure. Gandor attempts to use what power he had to join in with his father against the shadowy figure. But as soon as he joins the shadow figure casts him away and gandors back hits the back of his house. As he screams in agony his father appears to him as if in a dream. Calmly he tells Gandor that "you are meant for so much more my son and I am sorry I will not be there for you in person But I will always be there for you in spirit...." as his last words flutter from his mouth, and before Gandor can reply the image goes away and he now sees the shadowy figure overpowering Gandor's father who is now completely engulfed in lightning. There is than an explosion of light as Gandor is knocked unconscious. When he wakes his mother is already by his side helping him up. She is in tears as she helps Gandor to his feet. They both see that there is nothing left except a scared ground where Gandor's father was standing. Gandor blamed himself for not being strong enough to help his father.... A month goes by and Gandor's mother revealed to him that his father left behind a key. His mother knew of his father's past and his father tried to hide that until Gandor started to mature. Gandor was given a letter by his father that had personal notes to it as well as information as to where the key goes. Gandor follows the map on the letter to a cave in which he found a crate with a lock. He grabbed the crate and took it into the moonlight outside. In the crate was an old staff.... Gandor grabbed the staff an was instantly infused with power. As he continues to feel the power flow through him, lightning struck him and he was than instantly infused with the power over the element. Knowledge and power was gained and as he continues to ravel in his power, he notices a book of spells in the crate. Gandor now travels the lands helping those who could not help themselves.... He is now known as Gandor the White......
