First, tell us your name and age.
Sturgis, sixty-four never thought I would have to ask that Beatles question.
Where are you from and where do you live?
I am currently living where I was from. I have traveled and lived many, many places, not so many are as beautiful as Vermont, it is a fantasy kind of world, with green rolling hills, that become a blaze of color in the fall, with winding roads that twist their way through the valleys, and over the mountains, and most of these roads are accompanied with brooks and streams, and rivers that hold some of the finest trout fishing to be had in the northeast.
Being this close to where I was born is very unnerving, because of the whole twenty mile thing, kinda like salmon returning to where they were born, so I believe there will be another travel adventure to somewhere further away, maybe Idaho, the only other place that rivals where I am now.
What are your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?
Sturgis. That captures both questions, however in the game I am whatever my characters name is, and /or whatever other players choose to call me, and if I don't answer then I probably didn't like what it was, hahahaha.
What books on your shelf are begging to be read?
The books on my shelf I have read and there are many of them, floor to ceiling and a full wall long, in double rows, everything from math and chemistry, to biographies and fantasy, from repair manuals for motor cycles to Jeeps and pickups, old mustangs and Cadillac s. Lots of post modern British Literature, etc..

Get up and game, hahahaha.
How many days could you last in solitary confinement? How would you do it?
Depends on what I need, I do self imposed solitary frequently, it is not that I am anti social, just that for sometimes I need to be behind enemy lines in the crap until I work it out and choose to go back to society. Solitary is a state of mind where in the midst of a crowd we are alone.
Government imposed solitary, i think I would be okay about a minute.
Do you save old greeting cards and letters? Throw them away?
I keep most everything till I lose it, hahahaha.
When making an entrance in to a party, do you make your presence known? Do you slip in and look for someone you know? Do you sneak in quietly and find a safe spot to roost?
It seems that people know when I am there, I do the greetings and the appropriate introductions, but I do slip off and observe, always observe. ( The "R" key on my computer I believe wants me to be a cat, cause it keeps typing double "R's", whenever I hit it, see).
What is your strongest sense? If you had to give one up, which would it be?
Sight. Taste, I would hate it because I truly enjoy cooking. I had a grandmother who lost her sense of taste and smell when she worked at a dry-cleaners as a young girl. The odd thing was she could smell alcohol, and taste baking powder. She was a cook in the logging camps that used to be up here in Vermont and New Hampshire, not an easy job, I used to go to them with my father and the food and especially the pies were amazing, great long benches and wooden tables of food, with loggers smelling of pine, cussing and laughing, it was fantastic.

An apprentice came to me when I was the foreman on the job and asked me,"Are all jobs like this, where everyone gets along and helps each other". That made me feel very good about myself, but ultimately it all comes down to the men.

Where poverty and hunger are eliminated, and education is a joy and free for everyone, and health is no longer a worry or care. The demise of borders and political structures and strictures. I will stop there I feel the beginnings of a rant coming on.
What’s something that amazes you?

The bar, hahahaha, no seriously now, I love showing them my state, which includes a bar or many, hahaha, we have some great craft breweries here, Magic Hat, Harpoon, Long Trail, and many many more, plus many micro breweries, and it makes for a nice combination, done with discretion and a designated driver.

Do you hold any convictions that you would be willing to die for?
Yes, but convictions change with knowledge,.
To what extent do you trust people? Explain.
Very little, it is best for me to follow my instincts, they have kept me here this long, plus a great deal of luck.
In what area of your life are you immature?
Tried maturity, I prefer the immature self, it just isn't worth being all that serious.
How difficult is it for you to be honest, even when your words may be hurtful or unpopular?
It is difficult for me to be hurtful, not to be honest, I don't know the lives of those who might be hurt and if it isn't going to be constructive then why do it. Standing up for a cause well that is something different, tilting with windmills is just part of me.
When did you immediately click with someone you just met? Why? What was the long term result? Conversely, are you close with anyone now that you really disliked at first?
Humans are strange, we meet someone and we feel we like them and so we say, "lets go do something". The inverse is true. I am an observer of those around me I have had to be, If I don't like someone that most likely is not going to change I have watched them enough to know before I made my decision.
