Race: Bosmer
Personality (Updated): In light of his state of semi-psychosis, balancing the collective effects of trauma, post traumatic stress, lingering amnesia and feral mind, Eranor's personality is the embodiment of the dog. With mortal brain processes singing in harmony with the alpha and primordial wolf, he is tied to his mortal flesh and, more often than not, especially with the help of his lover, caretaker, and mate, remains in a mild feral state. He struggles to speak, but the desire to communicate, as is the mortal condition, is strong. When frustrated and confused, he becomes reserved and easily agitated, taking the object at hand with full focus until his struggling mind can comprehend it. As he slowly, over time, continues to climb up from his damaged mind, the playfulness of the canine begins to fade and the pained, depressed, resentful Mer begins to surface.
Backstory (Part One - Innocence): Eranor grew up within Woodhearth, and lived a modest and mostly regular life. His parents were very close to him growing up, and loved him dearly. Both worked within the business of trade, and, more often than not, would bring him to work every day to help assist in their matters of exchange. It was a calm and mostly uneventful life.
Avidly social growing up, the thought of relationships became a passion for him. From the innocent friendships of his youngest years, to the trivial flurries of dating as he grew older, his interest came with many of those who he met when they came to do business within the hub, but it was never evident that any of these relationships would last. As he grew older, the thought of pursuing a friend, or something longer with another person he could hold close, became fond to him, but with the start of the war, this was put in the back of his mind.
As he grew older, and the only perspective of the world being from the whole variety of trading ships he worked with and the people on it. Holding no interest to the opportunity to serve within the war, but holding great love for the country he was in, Eranor broke away from his life at home, and went to serve in protection of the land he held dear. He felt a call to Y’ffre, having been faithful to the Green Pact all of his life. Eranor trained to use archery, and like any other Bosmer, quickly caught on to the skill.
Time went on, and eventually, he found himself in service of the Pact. Honing his skills with his companions around him, and making some of the best friendships of his life, a new interest in the creation of the food that they shared came to him. Hunting and cooking became more than just for sustenance for Eranor, almost to the point of distraction from what was at hand with his chosen profession. Rumors began to get out among his peers that he was sneaking off to cook and gather illegal plants and other prohibited ingredients as dictated by the Pact, and soon enough, they did him in, earning him the scar on his face as he escaped. In the end, he was without friends, and did not dare return to his family.
Moving on, he boarded ship to Alinor, and set his sights on a new career as a chef. Setting up business and looking for hire, he was met with resistance and racism from the Altmer of the land, despite the promises of Queen Ayrenn he had been so eager about for fulfilling his new dream. For years, he persisted, but the lack of business, blatant attacks (both verbal and physical), and prejudice he experienced finally turned him away, but not without leaving him bitter and with his own hateful thinking towards the Altmer.
Moving from Alinor to Elsweyr, his first interactions came to be with a blind Altmer named Elros. Holding hate towards all Altmer from his experiences in Alinor, he showed great disrespect to him, to which the friends of the Altmer nearly killed him for. In the end, Elros was very forgiving, showing him that at least he was not like the Altmer he had met, and offering him shelter and guide on the land. He shared with them several meals before an incident between Elros and his sweetheart, Calomel, drove him away. His love had brought back the thoughts in the back of his mind from long before, and his loneliness as a Bosmer with few friends and no lover caught up to him.
Most recently, he has happened along Sren-Ja, and with his experiences with Elros on mind, pursued to become the assistant of Laltris, the already standing chef within the Clanmother’s inn. He seeks to learn more and expand his skill set with cooking, particularly to find someone to introduce him to the use of moon sugar within meals. The lucky Bosmer even managed to find a girlfriend within another Bosmer, Mnidhexa!
(Part Two - Rise):
Eranor felt a strong tie growing to the community after they were chased out of Sren-Ja, one in which he wanted to make a difference. He joined the Vulkwasten Guard, but during one of his very first days on duty, he critically wounded a corrupt Thalmor argent. He was awarded imprisonment and a hefty fine, but it wasn't long before he was back on the streets doing his best to keep Vulkwasten safe. Despite the hiccup, he beat out the rest of the competition and was officially voted in as Guard Captain, then choosing his trusted friend Malyne as his Lieutenant. To Vulkwasten, he brought collaborative training programs, a personally refined sense of professionalism (with a healthy mix of friendly flirtation), and a trivial sense of humor to rival none in his attempts to keep the town safe while remaining lively.
Unfortunately, Eranor became subject to the draft, being sent to Cyrodiil with a special leadership focused unit. In the time just before then, the Bosmer ended his relationship with Mnidhexa and soon found himself between Krimie the Bosmer and Hloriella the Dunmer. This, along with the oncoming draft, unfortunately made him lose focus in his duties leading up to his forced absence, to which his actions caused undue unrest and drama within an unfortunate love square. He left with tensions high among the people when finally called upon for duty.
The war brought him exactly what he was warned about: trauma and mental corruption. Ambushes and traps that wracked his mind for ages. Sights and sounds that can and never will be forgotten. He was subject to the attack of a werewolf while protecting his squad, and coupling the experience of tragic loss of comrades while also experiencing the forced transformation from his otherwise mortal state, the emptiness was damning.
Worst of all, he had suffered a major concussion and mental scarring due to a specific incident in Cyrodiil. Acute amnesia had, then, stricken him of many recent memories, including that of Hloriella, Krimie, much of his Captain status and many friends made of recent. It was all destined to catch up with him, eventually.
(Part Three - Fall)
After several months deployed, Eranor returned to Vulkwasten a nigh empty husk of a Bosmer. Struggling to come to terms with what he lost in the war, he came back to face the reality he had left behind. His position as Guard Captain had been passed on and would not be returned. Possibly worst of all, his amnesia left him responsible for dealing with the feelings of those who cared for him, those he struggled to even remember. With a baby on the way in Krimie and two very angry Mer, his initial favoring of Hloriella fell through as he attempted to disregard responsibility for his relations with Krimie. Being left in the dust at the edge of a bridge, the Bosmer took a final dive, breaking through what little sanity he was hanging onto in Hloriella before descending into the far feral state of the wolf that took over his mind and body to save what was left of his soul.
(Part Four - Rebirth)
Krimie found Eranor. Lost in his own identity, confused, naked, and dirty. Truly believing he was canine and acting as such. He avoided many run-ins with the law purely by chance, but if it hadn't been for his first true mate of heart and body, it is not likely he would have existed for much longer. Somehow, by sense and sight, distant and colluded memories brought him to recognize Krimie and recognize the children that she had given birth to from his seed. Prior to his bottoming out, he had neglected any care for Krimie or his children. Within his less-than-Bosmeri mental state, he became a better father and care giver than he had been before he had completely lost his sanity. It has been over the course of many months that Krimie has put in many hours nurturing Eranor back to health and a higher state of consciousness and realization of identity.
Now, he spends most, if not all of his time with Krimie or caring for their children. He is slowly gaining confidence in social interaction once again. His competency to walk and work as a Bosmer, not a wolf, is slowly returning. His love for Krimie has redeveloped and and is solidifying in her for all the care and love she has given him. Despite not holding the same memory or mental capacity he once held, Eranor Bluewisp has returned.
