(Sorry Elsy, you said you wanted to make this thread but I havent seen anything so I decided to just go and make one about it)
As we said last meeting, we wanted to discuss whether we wanted to have a 'rule set' on what can be sent into the auction. The cause for this discussion is that some items that have been sent in would not sell for a lot or would not sell at all (the least valuable ones were usually the ones we didnt sell due to time). There was also the occasional no selling item due to too high of a starting bid. So first we need to decided if we want to have a rule set, and what that rule set would be. Also while we are at it, do we want to have a maximum number of entries people can send in?
My ideas:
1. Armor / Weapons should be only sold in sets unless they are valuable by themselves. (part of good sets, legendary and so)
2. Armor / Weapons / Jewelry should be of purple quality or higher if they are not set items as gear dropped from quests does not sell for much.
3. Green Recipes should be generally avoided, Blue recipes especially the common ones aswell but if they are in sets with other more valuable things it is okay.
4. No food should be sent in unless it is of good quality (blue is okay but preferably purple) and in greater number (x10 or more).
5. Crafting mats should be sold in number (again preferable x10+) unless they are of higher quality (purple or gold).
6. Starting bids should be lower than the item value so people will bid on them.
Of course sending the items back would be up the auctioneer and whoever is helping with the auction (currently me and Frestion). Items that break these rules could end up in the auction if the auction team wanted them in.
Discuss!
