Sounds good to me. For the attention bit, you can include it but I'd say something like, "Compromise."

"Yes, you want your character to be amazing and all that, but so does everyone else. Remember the world doesn't revolve around your character and that there are other people who are also trying to further their stories. This is not to discourage you to participate and have major things happen to your character (both good and bad), but don't always be the center of attention every RP session, so that others can also share in the fun."
