Born Krista Iron-Bear to Ulren and Alga Iron-Bear, she grew up on a lonely isle off the coast of Skyrim. The Clan Iron-Bear was famous for their plentiful amount of iron being mined on their island and to what a story was told about them. The Iron-Bears were also traders with the near by city of Windhelm, importing and exporting iron almost everyday. Krista was the second child of the Iron_Bears, her brother Hjonil was first born, and the one to inherit the island. Her everyday life consisted of learning the proper way around nobility and how to use an axe. Her father, who was generally a peaceful man did not want his only daughter to learn how to fight, so he took her axe away and made her stay inside, but was allowed into the garden and sometimes the forest encompassing the island.

During her teens, she became rebellious from her father and ran into the woods for days. This allowed her to know how to life off the land and learn how to fight on her own. When she was fourteen, the Second Akaviri Invasion began, but before the attack on Windhelm she had seen strange hips sailing by the island and told her father. Her father said "They are just trading ships" But they were not. A few days later, from the island, there was smoke coming from Mainland Skyrim, roughly around where Windhelm would have been. It turned out to be the attack on Windhelm from the Akaviri forces. When news reached the island, her father gathered up as many of the inhabitants and sailed for Windhelm, not much was known about what happened to her father between his landing on the mainland and where he died, for his last letter talked about following the Akaviri to Riften. After the Invasion was over, a letter was sent to the isle stating "Ulren of Clan Iron-Bear was killed fighting the demons, he fought valiantly and the family will be given gold for his bravery". At first she did not expect it was true until a ship carrying his fathers body was ported at the Island. He father was burned and his axe was passed down to Hjonil, the first born. Years later when the Three banners war began, her brother left the island to fight, so the there would be a Nord on the Ruby Throne. Fate befell him as his father, months into the war, Hjonil was struck down by an Orc and two Bretons. The family axe was shattered broken into many different pieces. When the news of her brother reached her, she was devastated and had a funeral for him a much longer one then her father had . With all the males of her family gone and her mother was in no good health to take control of the island. After months of ruling on her own, she decided to leave the island to her mother and her cousin, a Silver-Bear, who also lived on the island. After leaving she went to explore Tamriel even if there was a war going on. When she was deep into Dominion territory she was captured and was going to be taken a prison in the forest of Valenwood. Until a group of Senche tigers killed the soldiers who captured her, but she defend herself after she retrieved the fixed axe of her family and ran. She did not know where she ended up, all that mattered was that she was safe.

"Long ago, when the 500 companions took back Skyrim from the Elves, a small group sailed north of Skyrim and landed on a strange island filled with Iron and Bears!. But there was a beautiful maiden by the name of Melis who loved hunting animals and making clothes. When the island was still filled with bears, she went hunting to claim the prize of one bear who killed many hunters. She went to face this powerful bear, who she thought could not take her. She came to a clearing in the woods with a cave, bones were scattered with weapons. She had carried meat with her to draw the beast out, so she tossed it in the middle of the clearing and waited for the beast. After hours of waiting she saw the bear, it was large with paint on him and beads, and scars around him. She sat there waiting for the perfect moment to strike, until the bear stood on both legs and was getting shorted. The bears hair was getting shorted too, it soon became a man standing in the middle of the clearing, eating the meat she had thrown out. She inched closed and snapped a twig, causing the Mam-bear to look at her. The man motioned her to come close, as she did she saw his face and dropped her axe, she had seen no one else like him and was attracted to him. When she got close he whispered something in her ear, nodding, she went into the cave with him. Days later she came out to find some hunters trying to find her, she said she had killed the beast and to make a camp on the island for the rich iron. As Meils stayed there she would often return to the cave to find the Man-Bear waiting for her, and many things endured from this time. After months of living there, she soon became pregnant with the bears child, as she did not want anyone to know about the bear she soon found someone and married them, stating that when the child was born she said it was his. When the day came and she gave birth, her child was a boy with thick hair on top of his head. She knew that she had to stay to stay close to his real father, so she did, she cut down the forest and made a Manor like home to keep herself near the bear. After visiting the Man-bear many times over the years she gave birth to three more sons from the bear, all with thick hair. Until one day she returned to the cave to find him missing, she searched the island looking for the father to her children but could never find him. To this day no one is sure about who the Man was or what he was. Some say it was Shor in man and beast form.....but the blood of the bear runs through all the Iron-Bears veins"- Iron-Bear folklore from the 1st Era

OOC: The inspiration of this character came from Brienne of Tarh and the Mormonts from Game of Thrones. For this character is the longest I spent writing a backstory to so I hoped you enjoyed :D
