Rumors: Fainde is a known adventurer and sell sword, he is however very reserved and only his closest friends really know his past.
Background: Fainde was born to a noble altmer family in Vulkhel Guard. As a noble he was trained in the art of swordsmanship from a young age, his most notable teacher was a master redguard swordmaster by the name of Sadeir. Fainde’s parents were rarely around and due to this he was practically raised by Sadeir, and as a former adventure himself it was Sadeir’s influence that sparked Fainde’s interest in seeing the world. However seeing the world was a seemingly unattainable goal for an Altmer noble who only had a cushy life of politics to look forward to and that is why when the opportunity to serve in the Dominion army presented itself Fainde lept at the opportunity to at least for some time leave his noble life behind.
After a short time in the military Fainde met the love of his life, a wood elf women and fellow soldier by the name of Desaril. Their love quickly grew and they decided they would be married when they next returned home, However Fainde’s family would not except his marriage to a non noble much less a non altmer. Fainde and Desaril decided they they would not allow his parents wishes to get in the way of their love, and so upon their next deployment they abandoned their regiment to live their lives together in cyrodiil. They lived happily for some years until one fateful night.
In the midst of a storm Fainde and Desaril’s homestead was set upon by werewolves. They both fought bravely and Fainde escaped with just a large gash upon his face, Desaril however was not so lucky and after felling many of the beasts she was brought down herself. Enflamed by rage at his wife's death Fainde tracked down the den of the werewolves and ran their leader through with his sword, and uncaring if he lived or died fought recklessly until he had slaughtered all of the beasts. Bloodied he returned home and buried his wife, it was not until the next full moon that he learned the true price of his revenge. Afflicted with a curse and unsure how to continue his life Fainde decided now was the time to follow in Sadeir’s footsteps. He now explores Tamriel adventuring, and searching for a cure for his affliction.
