Okay, so as we know, update 6 came out today. I saw that the skill points were resetting, and I wanted to get some advice on some tanking skills good for PVE and PVP. I never really liked to quest much, just RP, but I'm getting a new graphics card which will make me not lag whenever I run out to do quests(GTX 750 Ti if wondering, I have no idea if it's good, but it's one of the recommended graphics cards for ESO) I'm a Dragonknight Vet 2, and I want to get some good perks which would allow me to be a good tank if possible. I mainly use a 2H greatsword. I'd be very thankful to those who'd like to share their nerd knowledgez to me. If you could please reply to this thread, I will eat a chicken.

(Lazy recap)- Find me good tanky stuffs for 2H DK plez.

:)

cant tank with 2h for several reasons. if you want to be a decent tank sword and board is required. if you want to continue using 2h, medium armor is recommended since it gives crit and more weapon damage and gives you better stam management. I main a tank in all heavy and i can tell you, in 1.6 blocking cost A LOT more stam and you need as much cost reduction as possible along with actual good mitigation. also this wasnt a nerd question, it was a noob question

I hate saying it but I'd have to agree with Afer, and I kinda stopped telling people it because they don't usually want to hear it. I don't like the fact that you basically need a sword and shield to tank but you kinda do, especially if you plan on doing dungeons. You "could" screw around with a 2H tank build if you want, but sadly the Sword and Shield will still be the go to for a "good" tank build. To be honest most PuGs will kick you if you say you're a tank with a 2H.

You definitely need the aggro from the Sword and Shield, I would recommend pierce armor upgrade.

Burning Talons is great for crowd control, and Green Dragon Blood for self-healing and stamina/health regen.
