It has unfortunately come to our attention, through the Sugar Claw Clan (our cousin guild), that player @Epitokos has passed away from our world, in real life. There was a tragic car accident, and a following surgery, which he did not make it through. It was through his younger brother that this message was able to get to us.

@Epitokos played the characters Hunts-With-Magic, Ma'azha, Elimon, Tilano, and Ji'ara, and did so with mastery in the art of role play, but this is only in character. Out of character, he was a very good friend, always highly entertaining, made us laugh, and warmed the hearts of all of us across both Blue Skooma and Sugar Claw Clan.

From the team at Blue Skooma Roleplayers, we give our deepest condolences to the family of our dear lost friend.

I know a lot of you guys probably don't know him, but he was an officer of ours and a long time member of the guild. He was here before I was.

Actually, I owe the fact that I am even a part of this guild to him. ESO is my first experience RPing. I had been told of this guild, called Blue Skooma Company back then, and began to look into it. I had some passing words with the guildmaster at the time, and was told of the event days, so I decided to check it out.

Back then we RPed in Woodearth. I saw some RPers and some fighting happening. Eventually they all fled, but they were too quick for me to follow. I figured I wouldn't probably like it with Blue Skooma, as the idea of a larger guild scared me, and nearly walked away. But Hunts saw me. He led me back to the boat where they'd all fled to, and I walked in and had my very first night of RP ever. I fell in love with it, and I fell in love with the guild. He's why I am here today, and why I was able to become guildmaster of the very thing I love.

He and I never talked a whole lot, aside from the random silliness we had and the occasional times when I needed administrative advice and asked him for it. I do wish we could have been closer, but I'm no less thankful for him showing me this incredible guild where I met whom I now consider my friends.

Hunts,
You and your family are in our thoughts. We'll miss you dearly, but in no way will we ever forget you. You will live on through us and through our characters. I realize, the last thing I ever said to you is one thing I'm glad I got to tell you. So, for one final time, here it is again:

Thank you, Hunts the Magic Dragon.

He was the reason I started playing Ri'Zharim as my main roleplay character. At first, when I just joined the guild, I had made a racist khajiit, who was mean to Hunts. Me being new to roleplaying and being mean to him made me feel bad, he of course being more experienced knew it was all just in character, but I felt bad about it anyways haha. That's when I changed who I played as. Honestly I didn't really think about it until his memorial, but the reason Ri'Zharim has a story and has life is due to @Epitokos and I thank him for that.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to him, my sympathy goes out to his family. He will most certainly be missed.

Hunts, I never really got to know him, but he was an amazing jokester, officer, and roleplayer. At first, I couldn't believe he died in real life, it broke my heart to hear such news. Even though I may have not known him as much as everyone else, he was a good person to a lot of people and if I were able to say goodbye or thank you, I'd do anything to do it.

R.I.P. Hunts, I'll miss you especially

Reading over this, I didn't believe it at first, but reading over it again, though I didn't know him very well, it's hard to type with tears running down my face and my nose clogging. He never ceased to make me laugh and always brightened everything that came his way. Hunts was an amazing officer, an incredible roleplayer, and most of all, a fantastic friend. I'm sure wherever he is now, he will still be making everyone laugh.

We will all miss you and think of you often.

I never had the chance to RP much with Hunts, but knew his shenanigans in TS, and was always fun. I'm pretty sure he was the one who gave us the idea for Gata burgers, or atleast was there when we started it. Hunts you were a great guy and though your physical shell is gone I know that you're next life will truly be blessed

Oh no no no no, Hunts! Oh my goodness! I am just crying right now at the news, I can't believe this had to happen to him.

I never roleplayed with him much during the downtime era of the guild except the event with Tilano and didn't know him personally, but I always loved and admired how well he roleplayed. I also liked how humorous and witty he could be and I loved joking with him. He was such a brilliant person and will be greatly missed. I now even regret not being around to spend more time with him before his unfortunate passing. I hope he knew how many people's hearts he has touched during his life and in-game.

May you rest in peace, Hunts. We will all meet again in the Void.

/salute
To all of my children in whom Life flows abundant
To all of my children to whom Death hath passed his judgement
The soul yearns for honor, and the flesh the hereafter
Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after

I was on my way home from work... and this just sort of popped into my head

The Dragon slept
after it had wept
The news of the death
of it's greatest hunter
It had wept for the loss
of the one who had Hunted
For the wealth of the hunter
was far more vast
then all of the dragon's hoard
For the Hunter's wealth
was not in gold
but in friends and family
The dragon wept
for the loss of the hunter
and if it had the chance
It hoped in it's next life
to meet the hunter again
but instead as friends
because he wished to be as wealthy
and count such a friend amongst his own

I just read this over and over and I'm stunned. He was one of the best RP'ers and guild mates you could ask for. He was friendly, funny, unique and just an extraordinary person...

Rest in Peace Epitokos, Hunts-With-Magic, Tilano, Ma'azha, Elimon.... Those of us who were fortunate enough to know you will miss you terribly.

I couldn't focus in eso the day i read about his death so i wrote this, i wish i took more time but i think the point is that the song gets the message across, not matter how well it flows. I didn't post this until now because i was applying a few fixes to it.

Forever

Your heart still not shattered
Our love for you not tattered
You leave us with your laughter
But there are only tears tonight

We still lie in the rain's cries
As we mark the day you died
As happiness runs and hides
We watch you rise into the light!

Just like all before you, fallen
But memories aren't something you can sever
You may be gone, but not forgotten
We will cherish you always and forever

always...

Sometimes death falls innocents
And and their hearts lay in cement
The ground we stand on incandescent
As we light
As we light the candles in the night

Just like all that will come, fallen
But memories aren't something you can sever
You may be gone, but not forgotten
We will cherish you always and forever

We will cherish you always and forever

Here, but then so far gone
Near, but then you pass on
Tears, even after so long
We can't give you up!

Just like all before you, fallen
But memories aren't something you can sever
You may be gone, but not forgotten
We will cherish you always,

Just like all before you, fallen
But memories aren't something you can sever
You'll never be gone, not forgotten
We will cherish you always and forever

Forever!
Cherish you forever.

When I lead the guild, he was very involved almost every day. It was fun roleplaying with him and bringing Hunts-With-Magic in to the guild. Later, how well he played Tilano brought a lot of fun to a lot of people, including me. He will always be in my memories.

Thank you, and walk always on warm sands, my friend.

I saw the news on the ESO forums. It was very heartbreaking. I didn't know hunts that well, but I remember he let me work with Tilano once on Ainoath and that was very fun for me. He also helped me in creating the grand storm that drove us out of S'ren Ja, which was also very fun. I say everything happens for a reason, and I know he will be missed.

I've come to notice, within chat, question in concern of Epitokos' brother visiting with his account on a daily basis. I found a similar story from 2013 that really puts into perspective what is going on there as a man copes with the death of his brother by visiting him in Skyrim:

Hunts you were everything that was good, during my last times in this whole eso thing you were the main reason I stayed, you gave me strength to continue when I was depressed, you sang to me, you never left me. I'll miss you so much. I'm so sorry. I'll never get over this. It's too painful. I'll never forget you. A part of me is gone with you.
I'm sorry.
I love you.
