So my main character for RP and regular game play recently reached VR 1 and I feel like for RP purposes a character that represents his child may be made in the near future. The only problem is that I don't know whether to make a wife, try to find one through BSR or just have her be apart of his lore. I'd like opinions on the "Sequel" character him/herself and on what to do with a mate for my main character.

Totally up to you! It's entirely preference.

I myself like leaving things to chance, and like to see how others' characters naturally interact with mine, and tend to leave it to happen on its own.

I have also done something where you ask another member to make a partner for your character, and have them RP with you. If this is something you're interested in, go ahead and post in the Classifieds forum.

I've also seen people work it into their characters' back stories and either kill off their partner or just have them living away.

There's also a few members who play as their main character but RP both their main and their main's partner. So you could RP as your main character, but also narrate and RP your character's partner, by indicating she's talking with a different symbol thrown in. Example:
[character name] Holding her hands, "I love you."
[character name] <She smiles, blushing. "I love you too.">
Or
[character name] Holding her hands, "I love you."
[character name] |She smiles, blushing. "I love you too."

As for the sequel character it sounds like a really cool idea to me, I know we've had a few in the guild before. Sons and Daughters of other characters growing up to be members in the RP happen fairly frequently.

Like Elsy said, it's completely up to you how you handle the mate. Any of the ways suggested are really good, or like you said, you could just put them in your characters lore, or whatever else you can think of.

one cool idea i did in my RP was when i made ro'john after about 3 months of RP and growth i played oblivion and i made another Ro'john but it was Ro'john the IV (i think...) and kinda carried on some family name stuff or something and then same thing in skyrim it was Ro'john the VI

so its just an idea if you ever get bored

Thanks that's a cool idea. I know that when elder scrolls VI comes out my character will definitely be a Veirnith. Whenever that is.
