Family: Kato is an orphen, his parents were killed when he was a boy, he was taken in by a couple. His adopted father, Za'mun Allwe was a theif, and his adopted mother, Naz'wa Allwe, was a very skilled assassin. At the age of 17 his parents were murdered, No one knows how or why or who did it. Kato has set out to find the murderers and the reason behind it.
Friends: Kato stays by himself. He doesn't trust anyone enough to have friends but only because he has never had any. Once Kato makes a friend, he keeps them for life and will do anything for them and never betray them.
Romantic interest: Kato doesn't want to have any romantic interest, it has some to do with his parents being murdered. and it also has something to do with his life, he doesn't want to risk falling in love and then his love dying.

Kato almost always keeps a hood over his head. If he is out in public or with people he isnt very close too, he will keep a hood on to cover his face. There is no specific reason as to why, maybe it has to do with his trust issues.

Kato was just an infant when his parents were killed. He never knew them. He was found in the ruins of a burnt house, most likely his own, by his adopted parents. Someone he was shielded from what looked like an explosive blast. Maybe his mother did this to protect him? His adopted parents took him to Senchal, where he then grew up on the streets of the largest port in Tamriel. There he learned how to sneak. He learned to steal. He learned to kill. He learned to survive. And all from the help of his adopted parents. He grew up without friends, his dad Za'mun taught him to never trust anyone, that he could only lead to betrayal. Thus, he grew up with out friends. Without love. In his years he made memories with his adopted parents. Although they were harsh to him, he knew it was to help him survive. There was even a time where he got caught trying to steal a golden necklace from a Count's wife. Where he then spent 5 months in a prison cell. His father would sneak and pay him a visit, not to break him out but to teach him out to break out himself. After Kato got over his childish behavior of waiting for his "Father" to do it, he went to work, and found he was very good at escaping from prison, which makes him wonder to this day whether that is a good thing or not, considering he shouldn't be getting caught. At the age of 17, Kato's father sent him on a mission to steal a document from the head of the Shipping Company in Senchal. His father wanted to know the routes and times of the ships coming in and out and the rotations of the guards inside the port. So, of Kato went, this was it, his time to prove to his dad he could do something on his own. The mission went smoothly, no errors, he got the documents, along with a bit of *cough* spare change... His day had come, his father was going to be proud of him, Kato was happy... Until he made it to the abandoned building he called home... Broken glass, a shattered door.. Kato's heart started pounding as he ran inside. He burst thru the front door, knife out, ready for action. He smelled blood, looked down and saw it at his feet. His eyes followed the trail of blood in a horrified glare..straight to his parents makeshift bed room.. he crept to the room and peered in... there they were... dead. His dad's lifeless body slung over his mother's corpse. They had been stabbed, impaled, poisoned, and burnt. The bodies almost unidentifiable. "How could this happen" He thought to himself...How could his parents be murdered? They were always on edge, always ready for action. Kato, tears in his eyes, mad and ready to take on the world, realized he couldn't stay. He quickly grabbed his belongings in a pack, grabbed his dad's necklace, which had a silver chain and a silver dragon with a ruby gem in the eyes. He ran out the door and snuck onto a ship were he was smuggled to unkown lands. Many days and nights were spent out at sea before he was able to make his way onto land. Thus, here we are now.

Kato puts on a hard front so people will not think he is weak. However, on the inside he is lonely, he hates being alone, yet he makes himself stay alone. He doesn't trust anyone and sometimes he sees this as a weakness. He longs for friendship and for love but doesn't want to get hurt or betrayed. However much of a hard front he puts on, once he befriends someone, he is nice, caring, and funny. He will do anything for that friend and never turn his back on him. Kato is the kind that you can count on for anything.
