the google has not been very helpful i hope there are some computer geniuses in our mist for the love of mara please help poor RJ here!
i upgraded my ps4 hard drive about a month ago maybe shorter hard to keep track. i went from 500gb to 2.0TB now i got 14 games and updates and dlc's. the problem comes in on downloads now. see my internet max download is always been 340kbs if im lucky 351kbs i got dish network for tv so trust me i know the pain. in board with parents so theres no "switch internet providers and get charter cable with 60mbs" not an option. now when i had the 500gb hard drive i could download a battlefield 4 update of 100mb in about 15 mins. a 5gb update for gta v in abour 2 1/2 hours. the funny thing is though with this new hard drive that 100mb update takes about an hour and the 5gb update takes 26 hours. (ps4 shows estimated times) now i can put the console in rest mode and in about the morning 1 of 2 things will happen. either it finishes and installs OR it crashes and says cannot download please try again later. its very weird to me that when i had 500gb everything was normal for me atleast now that i got 2.0TB (Technically 1.70TB after ps4 parmiters and drives ect ect are on it) every download is SLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW as hell. on this computer the downloads are normal. ive done the unplug router and modem for 30 secs then re plug in done it and it helped for like 10 mins. ive switched around the cables on the back side from channel 1 and 2 to channels 3 and 4 and it stayed the same so i put them back. im just trying to figure out why on earth the downloads have changed i dont know why a hard drive upgrade would cause this if it even is the hard drive changer the internet is through AT&T i think and where i live thats all there is unless you live in city limits then its charter internet games play with no lag or drop out everything else from computer to laptops to phones works great normal internet load times and youtube runs fabulously on the devices but ps4 downloads have come to a skretching hill climb it seems
THANKS IN ADVANCE
