So I tried a landscape type thingy since I usually do people. What do you think? Should I keep trying with these? This one took me about 6-7 hours.

yes! the more you do the better you get...and with a background you can charge extra on deviant art!

I actually did some fixes to the lighting, as suggested by some artists on Tumblr, then added a few textures.
