I'm always trying to picture in my head what all these character would be like in real life, y'know? Their expressions, mannerisms, and voices. So, I thought, why not make a thread to help with that illustration? Having a concrete voice to go with the faces and personalities of your character makes the experience that much more rad.

I went looking for voice actors that fit the voice I imagine for Ali, and along my long hunt, I found the perfect one. I hoped guys do the same :P post videos/interviews/snippets of your depicted character voices here! I'll start off.

Thank you ^-^ I think it's something we should all do, too, but sometimes finding the perfect voice for your character is really difficult. It depends on what you're going for.

Imagine this in a khajiiti version, its very hard to get the perfect sound for haj, 'cause i've got this very unique idea for his voice, and it's very hard to find, but if there was just hints of a khajiiti accent, it would be perfect. I haven't RPed with haj recently so if you don't know, he has the answer to every question. In all seriousness, he will at the least give you a convincingly good answer to a problem most of the time, unless it's something that like, he is unable to answer for whatever reason. I'm sure theres probably a more consistant video with lots of mannerisms and whats its but i prefer to go with this cuz i don't feel like listening to a thousand actors/voice actors i don't know and such and such, it took long enough to find this in itself.

This is Fedris, pretty much based him off of Miguel from The Road to El Dorado and a man I once knew.
His mannerisms and voice are spot on. Miguel is the blond one :p

So when I think of Racuvar's voice, I picture Robert Carlyle who has just the best accent/voice ever. His voice is a lot stronger Scottish in real life, but I like his voice in the portrayal of "Mr. Gold" from Once Upon A Time.
I couldn't pick a best scene, so I put a few clips to show the range.

Hloriella's voice is tougher to get I think. I want to say the closest I could find is Charlize Theron. So picture her voice though with a bit more rough/rugged tones.

i think i said this before but whatever...
I based Afer off of a fire emblem character ((clearly one of my most favorite games)) and that same character shares the same voice as him, UNFORTUNATELY Fire emblem is not a game where they talk a lot sooo I can show you videos with small clips with this amazing voice in them.

For this one the voice actor did the world a solid and voiced a line that was not said in game. I knew Fedris reminded me of someone but I couldn't figure out who! Lol

Rac, I adore Mr Gold. He's got a great voice too.

I don't have an actor in mind but Ali just looks like he'd have a more gruff voice....I guess it's the eye patch lol

Sorry that voice for Afer is amazing, and actually pretty much exactly how i pictured him sounding (except a little bit lower voiced on the love confession, still relatively like that)

His octive goes up based on moods and who he's talking to >.> but this is what he sounds like. This is like, basically conversational I'd say. Originally he sounded much more like Ben Winshaw, but that was when I rp'd him when he was a teenager. So his voice has changed a little now.

THIS NEEDS TO COME BACK! Also, I have been searching for 3577235092384 years, and I finally found the perfect voice for Reliza. It's been in my head the whole time, but I've never found an actor with it ;-;

Sounds fun! I've always been a fan of Solas' character and voice from Dragon Age: Inquisition, and since Jo'achim is an elf I think he'll sound like that. :)

Elros's voice and accent. I like to think that Mikael's style of speech fits Elros/Shado perfectly because of his repressed anger and the harsh words he uses. Elros's voice: Mikael

While not her voice tone and pitch (Posted that somewheres in the thread) I based Hloriella's pattern of speech off of two very different characters.

Her vulgarity and bandit-ish tones, style, aka Vulgar Hlor:

Put em together and bam. That is my dunmer's speech pattern and style.

She has a Hlaalu influence accent, but I have no complete idea of what it sounds like yet. I picture a New Zealand chain smoker's accent.

So. Charlize Theron tone/voice + New Zealand smoker's accent + spoken in the style of Mugen (vulgar) and Holo (proper) = Hloriella. Yep. Dere you peeps go. The more you know.

In my mind Wraesha sounds like a younger, sassier, and sadder Shohreh Aghdashloo. It's not exactly the voice I picture in my head, but it's the closest thing I can find.

One thing I love about Kaiji Tang's Odin and Owain voice, is that it somehow manages to be both silly AND badass at the same time. Which makes his "overly theatrical" lines infinitely funnier to me. Which is how I feel matches how I RP Afer. Considering this is the character I based him off of when I made him back then.

I gave him a big deep voice to fit his big shallow personality. He's always talking loudly, projecting, like he's seeking attention from an audience, and sometimes there is a bit of a whine perfectly captured by the actor.

Her voice is a bit harsher, matching the character too. Although her accent is more breton/modern, with a very apathetic tone.

This is Maya's voice pretty much exactly. The tone, pitch and rhythm of speech line up almost perfectly.
