Name: Markus Savel
Age: Young Adult

Marital Status: Single (And ready to mingle! ;3)
Flair: Has a nasty looking bite mark on his shoulder; one that could be from a Khajiit.

Background
: Markus is the son of Ziron and Telura Savel; both members of the of the mages guild. The two met in their younger years thanks to a fellow Khajiit apprentice named Omar and the three grew close over their apprenticeship. Eventually, Ziron and Telura wed and became the proud parents of Markus himself.

Unfortunately, the Savels time with Markus was cut relatively short as the two were asked to aid help investigate an outbreak of Knahaten Flu back home in Morrowind. They left Markus in the care of Omar and promised they would return as soon as they could. While the three remained in contact during the first few months of the expedition, the letters eventually stopped coming. After a year without hearing from them, it was clear to Omar that they likely encounter an untimely fate.

Omar took Markus back to his home of Mistral and raised him as one of his own; teaching him not only about his people but of the Khajiit as well. Omar also took to training Markus in Magic and alchemy; both of which the young Dumner demonstrate great aptitude in. Unlike his parent, however, Markus showed more interest in Restoration magic as opposed to Destruction.

Because Markus had a hard time fitting in, he spent a good amount of time reading about the world and the history of Tamriel. He learned more about his race and how they had enslaved Khajiits, in addition to other races. At this point, Markus started becoming more aware of the tension between races and began to go feel even more insecure about his differences. Omar told him not to feel guilty, however, as there were others who did not believe in following the same footsteps as their ancestors. At this point, Markus resolved to try to help anyone he could so perhaps one day, all races could get along.

When he became of age, Markus left to join the Mages guild to further his training. It was there that he heard that the Alliances were going to war in effort to wrestle control of the Ruby Throne. The idea of a war between the races certainly did not resonate well with Markus. There was no way he was getting involved; especially over political greed. Things don't always go according to plan, however, as Markus will soon discover that there is more to this war than a throne to be claim.

(I might come back and change a few things if some of the background doesn't mesh well with the lore. If there's an issue, let me know!)

OK, I finished filling my character sheet out. I have a feeling there might be a few issues with the background, however. Something tells me a Khajiit raising a Dumner is a little far fetched.

Are we suppose to put EVERYTHING in our background, or can we leave some things out in terms of preserving surprise? I have a feeling putting everything on the table would ruin the fun for some people.
