Hmph. Well, I've decided to keep this journal in hopes that one day, when I'm long dead and buried, the people of Tamriel may know the man that hid among them, the one that everyone trusted with their lives. And the one who took their lives. First, I may start with a few confessions.

I am the serial killer that the people have branded "The Watcher". I assure you, this endearing little nickname was in no way solicited by me. I simply mantled what was given to me.

Do I feel any remorse for what I've done? No, I do not. Not in the slightest. Those I killed, well, they should know better than to irritate me.

But, I digress. One question still remains in your mind, does it not? Who am I? Who is the one who's caused so much grief throughout the families of Tamriel? Did you really think it would be that easy though? I have spent long years building up my cover, sticking my nose in old tomes and posing as one you would trust. I'm not about to ruin the magic of it all, now am I?

If you're smart enough to connect the clues that I will leave throughout this journal, then bravo to you. If not...well, it doesn't quite surprise me. Few will be intelligent enough to figure me out. I wish you the best of luck.

Ah, and if you find my delectable liver recipe in the back of this book...you're welcome.

Another kill. Blood on the stones. So many unsuspecting people in Morrowind. They expect their precious Ordinators to protect them from any harm, keep people like myself off of the streets. A truly sad and pitiful people.

She had no time to scream. I didn't give her the time. She was dead before she hit the ground. Fine work, if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, if one thing could be said for the Ordinators, they're heavy on the patrols. I had to bugger out before they caught me red-handed. Literally. Ha ha

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner was bland tonight. I made-do with the meat from the lesser animals of Morrowind. Nix hound is too sweet, Kwama is too bitter..I regret not taking anything from my last kill. Perhaps I'll sleep hungry tonight.
Damned, well, It seems I haven't updated this journal in some time. I'll have to be more consistent with it. Not that anything interesting has been happening of late. Much too dull. I suppose my exodus from Morrowind would've been a decent story to jot down, but I found myself with...little time. I barely had time to gather the maps after I gutted that nosy investigator before I had to get out of the province.
Dunmer are terribly bitter anyway.
I've moved onto Skyrim now, perhaps I'll grow some facial hair and douse it in mead to fit in with the locals. Sadly, their livers are likely out of the question. I'll have to find some other juicy part of them to snack on. I suppose I'll keep this updated, if I really must. Until then...I've made a new friend, may have him for dinner.
Really, towns need to get their guards under control, much too rough. Besides, how was I supposed to know that damn drink was so strong. Or that I apparently become very...punchy, when I'm drunk? I got thrown into that desolate hole they call a prison for a whole month on assault charges. Which is better than multiple counts of murder, I suppose. Luckily I managed to stash my journal and anything else incriminating before I was arrested. Bloody fools don't suspect a thing.
I suppose it's out of Skyrim for me then, a criminal record will cast suspicion onto me if another murder occurs here. I'll take a shortcut across Cyrodiil, down into the Dominion areas. Too bad they're already searching for me in High Rock and Hammerfell, Redguard lung is delectable.
Perhaps a nice dish of Altmer with a side of Khajiit tail. That might make up for it. Might.
Unsure of why exactly I didn't expect to find myself cornered in Cyrodiil. This damn fighting, tearing apart the Heartlands. And anyone who enters it, for that matter. Some of those barbaric Ebonheart Pact soldiers thought me a disguised Imperial Loyalist. Something about the colors I was wearing. I'm sure it was just an excuse for them to draw more blood though. Lucky for me there was an overturned merchant's cart just around the corner, probably ransacked by the same soldiers who attacked me. Merchant was dead too, unfortunately, a bit too long to be lunch.
It didn't take them long to abandon the search once they lost track of me. Damn Dunmer have the attention span of a guar. I think I'll make use of this cart, find a horse for myself, pay whatever toll these eastern bandits demand of me. Hopefully once I move into Dominion territory I'll be left alone.
No good food here either. Only dead animals. Everything else is either too old or too filthy. Damned wars.
