*A green journal that is usually in Elros's bandolier. At first glance, it looks like a normal tome but if someone tries to open it and read the contents, it appears blank. In fact, this journal is anything but normal. Powerful enchantments are placed on it to stop prying eyes from reading the records of the organization known as Kogo Onei. Not only is this a journal to record what is heard, but also contains private thoughts. It is also not impossible to break the enchantments and discover the secrets within.*

23rd of Last Seed

Preparations have begun to expand the Onei. Help has been acquired; The Treethane has granted support in the means of another. Daytha is his name, and he wishes to bring his cub along. A little...wary of this, but I will trust the Treethane's judgment, and mine as well. For now, I will work with Daytha as an equal. As soon as more are willing to join the Onei, I will assume the title of Ceyceletur. The Ceytur must take responsibility of the Kogo Onei.

I have made inroads with the Clanlord of Baandari. He has agreed on letting the Onei within the borders of Northern Malabal Tor. Two holdings will let us operate and these two holds will help us amass strength. The Onei will begin protecting Vulkwasten and Baandari from the shadows, as is our wont. Soon, we must find a place to gather and discuss. The Treethane's quarters or the barracks simply will not do. Weapons are also a priority.

On to things of concern: A khajiit has enlisted help from a stranger to assault a wen names Desna Nightwood. Daytha and I will keep an eye on Desna, as per the instructions of the Treethane. But...we cannot afford to be ordered by figures of authority. The Kogo Onei is independent, and will remain so. Something I must make very clear to the Treethane and the Clanlord before the Onei progresses further.

Recruiting has begun. I have set my sights on Lucrezia and her lover, Malyne. Both seem to be capable but they may need some training. That is if they accept. Malyne...feels a little off. I have to keep an eye on this one. Something about him is very off. I have alerted Daytha to this and hopefully he will also look out for any signs of trouble concerning this mer. Nevertheless, I will let them enter the Onei.

Meanwhile, I am looking for a suitable place for Kogo Onei to call our own. Rather hard to come by in Malabal Tor but I'll keep looking. Orders have been placed with two separate blacksmiths. Fifteen voidsteel swords and ten nightwood shields, along with fifteen nightwood bows and twenty quivers of arrows. I dug up my enchantment scrolls to create the explosive arrowheads. Needless to say, I trust only myself with it.

Now, to talk to the Treethane and the Clanlord. A mutual understanding should let this come to fruition. Should...I do not wish to antagonize them in the slightest, dear friends of mine that they are.

It is done. Kogo Onei now reigns through the musty, dank reaches of Northern Malabal Tor. Hopefully undisputed. I will begin gathering intelligence on groups who are potential threats to Vulkwasten and Baandari. The talks with the leaders of their respective communities went well enough. As I have promised, nothing will be held back from them and nor will I go against their wishes. That is, only if a situation arises where I must take matters into my own hands. Truly frustrating.

Those blacksmiths...who knew that good business would lead to such an encounter. Apparently the jingle in my coin purse was too enticing for them and they had to have it all. So I taught them a lesson...and also got bested by them. Humiliating. They lie dead in their workshops. I barely made it out of there were it not for my steed, Celeviran. I now have in my possession a small arsenal of weapons. Now to arm the ones I bring into the veil.

Still in search for a place to convene the first meeting of the Onei. I must get answers from Lucrezia and Malyne. Plenty of other candidates seem to be popping up in Vulkwasten. Sadly, Baandari seems to have only one. Here's hoping that a worthy one can found. I will keep searching in the meantime.

There have been two new additions to the Onei. The Veil grows in strength now. Bhidul will provide us the military prowess we need in an open battle and Lucrezia can grant us the use of her contacts. Valuable additions. Will have to protect them.

Troubling news. There are daedra amassing in strength in the jungles near Vulkwasten. Kogo Onei will look into this. I must take one more person with me to assess the strength of these daedra and report back to the Treethane. Treethane...she's been through much turmoil this week. Zhinda confronted her and the Treethane called on me. I got her out of there safely but she was quite afraid, understandably. I've made it a high priority to find Zhinda and kill her. I will do whatever is necessary.

There is a Thalmor official in town. Name's Arieath Thaorius. Claims she was sent to check in on the daedra threat. I will watch her closely.

All forces have been pulled out of Vulkwasten. I will let this town suffer the dangers we were protecting them from. Never have I been insulted so, and the Treethane doesn't seem to appreciate my services. No matter. There are plenty of other towns and settlements that can use our protection. Henceforth, no agents will operate within the town boundaries and I myself will no longer help the guards or Treethane on matters of import.

It is also time to expand our efforts. The Shrouded Vale will serve as the perfect haven for Kogo Onei. Our agents will begin expeditions in Cyrodiil. But first, a test. New blood is needed in the ranks and a test of their resolve, resourcefulness, and intelligence. A puzzle of sorts...I will think of something. But where to find these new bloods? Perhaps Vulkwasten will serve as the perfect ground for recruiting such assets.

Time to move the arsenal from Mournhold to the Shrouded Vale. Pelin'Mor has agreed to help with this. Daytha must begin preparations to stock our haven with food and other supplies. Dark Moon must be given a task. I will find one for him and as for Camanara...Camanara must obtain me the location of an artifact of power. It is time the Onei gained some real power around here.

12th of Rain's Hand

Time to write again. I am teaching a few people in Vulkwasten now. All sorts of things that I know, I am willing to impart. Except, of course, my dark arts. That is something I will keep to myself. Grim and Reliza are both good students, though I have yet to teach Reliza. Grim has made remarkable advances in reading and writing along with arithmetic. Hard worker, that one. I am proud of him...its an odd feeling. I've never been proud of someone other than my children. Lets see if other people are willing to come learn from me.

Speaking of children, Haldir and Lyna are getting along splendidly. With Lyna's fascination of grabbing things and Haldir's aptitude of finding things, there's not much I can hide in the house. Lyna is a strong little girl. I see much of Donvyn in her. She's given me renewed vigor to protect what's important to me. Family. And the people who I have ignored, I will take them in. Calian and Mirilinwe. Cousins from my father's side of family. I will meet with them and perhaps we can be family once more.

In other news, Asberon commissioned me to carve a statue of him. Not the oddest request I have received. Definitely feasible. Lots of money involved. Never knew his parents were that rich. Might be able to fund my secret project with this.

Secret project items:
  • Tent/Marquee
  • Food/caterer. Perhaps Ran'dall would like to cook.
  • Jewelry? Donvyn loves new things.
  • Invitations. But who to invite? Everyone?
  • Entertainment?
  • Gifts for everyone?
  • Renewed vows. Should I tell Donvyn or surprise him...

26th of Rain's Hand

Where do I begin?

Donny's gone. So is Korvos. The family that I put so much effort into building has crumbled. All I have left is my children. And a few others. But Varwill is gone, killed by own hands.

Everyone I knew from my past is gone. And to get to this point, I've had to do terrible things. The darkness that I tried keeping at bay now surrounds me. As much as I tried looking past it, I couldn't. I have failed. I've become what I used to fear. Now, I embrace it...

With this thought in mind, I now look towards the horizon. Many things that I used to view as below me are now a means to an end. And to that end, I will fight, kill, main, hurt anyone or anything stupid enough to get in my way. Before, I wouldn't have been able to make the hard decision. Now, it is much easier. I will do what I must to make sure I live, damn everyone else.

I've taken it upon myself to make sure the supernaturals in Vulkwasten are kept in check. Recently, a vampire named Tory had the audacity to feed on mortal, in plain sight, and turn her. And what does the rest of the town do? Nothing. No, worse then nothing. They sympathize. These...children...sympathize with the thing. When I first heard of this, I had half a mind to root out all the vampires in this community in that instant. But patience is a virtue, and what I have in store for these poor fools will be nothing short of spectacular. I will take great pleasure in tearing down their sanctuary and burning the whole lot of them at the stake. But perhaps...pitting them against the town itself sounds like a much better idea. This new Hall steward...he can be easily manipulated into going after the afflicted. Once that is done, all will be right with the town and I can begin looking elsewhere to begin accumulating a foothold for power.

1st of Second Seed

Theo has finally found out that it was I who shot his undead lover, Tory's, arm off. The little tin man went full berserk on me, it was actually quite entertaining even though he gave me a bloody lip and tried to kill me. Something about shattering that image he had of me gave me a deep thrill. Quite difficult to control the face, voice, and the body when that happens. But I managed to hoodwink the lot of them. For now. I can already see their case against me will fall apart with the proper moves in place.

Apart from that...the new home is coming along splendidly! Property is properly enchanted, stronger than before, house is well built...it will be good to have a proper home again. But I can never bring Haldir or Lyna here. My life has taken a dark turn and that is no place for my little ones. They will stay at Starfall Estate, with the rest of my kin.

A 111 years spent in Moonshadow and I have emerged stronger. I wonder how far I can go. And now that the children are gone, I can truly focus on honing my skills and perfecting my techniques. Never know when I might suddenly need them...
