Setting:
-
The house was quiet, but that was a subject due to change.
The little house on the outskirts of Marbruk was dead silent when Wadiq approached. He unlocked the door and stepped inside, nodding quietly to himself that everything was in order. Though to someone's eyes that had never seen his home, it was far from it.
The house was a complete mess. Old glasses, bottles and plates sat randomly ontop of the table, a couple of chairs were knocked down aswell. His bed wasn't made, and the dresser next to it had nearly all of it's drawers open, a couple of drawers on the floor. The hearth was filled with ash and old pieces of log. Perhaps one of the only things nicely placed was the neat stack of firewood just next to the hearth. One of the windows was smashed, but just boarded up rather than replaced.
In one of the corners sat a small bantam guar ontop of a pillow. Wadiq already forgot the name of his past wife's pet. Next to it was his first and only son with Ahzriji, a young, black furred Senche that was just under the size of a fully-grown dog. His son, Kaziq, only knew his father, but he thought of the little guar as the closest thing to a sibling.
-
Do'Wadiq sat down at his desk, looking through old boxes of stuff he never used anymore. After a few minutes of looking through his wife's old books he found one of his old journals. He quietly opened it up and began reading his own words before his wife's murder. He handwriting wasn't the best.
Journal Entry #1
Ahz convinced this one to get use this journal. Writing was never his thing, but he will give it a shot
Yesterday was our wedding. A beautiful Khajiiti altar in north Reaper's March. A good amount of his friends showed up, a lot of them were fellow clanmates from the Sugar Claw.
Journal Entry #2
We have finally finished moving into our new home. It is a nice Altmeri styled home just outside of the Marbruk wall. There's a nice pond and a small dock. This one began working as a hunter to fund his growing family.
Journal Entry #3
It's been a while since this one wrote in his journal. We found out that Ahz is pregnant, and we hope for the best to come for our cub.
Journal Entry #4
Again, been a while since this one wrote, but good news has come. Ahzriji had our cub, a beautiful, black Senche-breed. He seems healthy, but we still hope for the best to come for his childhood. We named him Kaziq.
Journal Entry #5
Our cub has been healthy as can be. He's growing quite fast.
Ahz said she wanted to go to Vulkwasten to meet some friends, but this one was busy so he could not come aswell.
That was yesterday, she said it wouldn't be overnight. This one is worried. He will go investigate later today.
The rest of the pages are blank.
Wadiq stood up, seemingly normal and casually, but he suddenly yelled out and threw the book, smashing through a window and into the pond just next to his house. Kaziq and the guar both shot up out of their sleep, looking at him. Kaziq was used to his father having these outbursts when reminded of the murder of his wife, but the guar was scared and huddled into the corner and his pillow. Wadiq looked at his cub, hating for him to see this.
He sighed and spoke to Ta'Agra to Kaziq, telling him to go back to sleep. He pulled up his hood, this whole time still being in his light, armored clothing, and headed outside to think.
