Skills: Incredibly good at stealth, able to go almost invisible at times. He is very light on his feet and quite agile. He is a very well trained assassin who tends to use two swords as his weapon of choice. He is a very skilled thief, earning the title of “the best thief in Dune” when he was a child. He also has a decent knowledge of Alchemy
Weaknesses: Tzar tends to keep his emotions to himself. He does not know a lot about other cultures, which tends to be a problem since the formation of the Aldmeri Dominion. Being bought up as a thief if he sees something valuable there is an overwhelming temptation to take it at the nearest opportunity. He has been working on this since he became a soldier.
Personality: Tzar is a confidant, intelligent Khajiit that is one to make jokes quite often. He is fairly reserved, not being one to start up a conversation but is more than happy to talk if he is approached. He is a fairly observant Khajiit, often finding a corner to sit in and watch others to simply learn about them. Thing such as who to trust, who not to trust, what subjects to avoid with certain people and then more sinister things such as what valuables they may carry and how much money they may have. In his spare time Tzar is usually either practicing his fighting techniques, stealing or having a drink at the bar/inn/tavern. When it comes to his mercenary work he has a strong set of opinions on what he will and won’t do. It isn’t overly a matter of what he has to do- more who he has to do it too and for what reasons. If he doesn’t like your reasons, he won’t take the job. He may be a thief but he’s not a mindless, heartless villain.
Background: Tzar’Manak was born in Elsweyr in the City of Dune. His father was killed by a group of bandits before he was born and his mother, feeling that she was unable to raise him on her own abandoned him at an extremely early age. He was found by a group of Thieves and was taken under their wing. Their leader, an 18 year old Khajiit looked after him personally until he was 7, the age where the members of the group were expected to start doing their part. He quickly learnt he was able to make money off of begging due to his young age. He did this to add his contribution to the guild, and in his spare time he watched his fellow brothers and sisters steal, learning as much as he possibly could. By the time he was 8 he was no longer begging. He now tagged along with others as they went out it to the city streets to ‘work’ and acted as a lookout while he learnt off them.. Eventually he began going on his own and quickly showed that his habit of observing paid off, being one of the best thieves in their little family. At the aged of 12 he earned himself the title of ‘the best thief in dune’ amongst his friends. He was happy with this life and all was well until he was caught. He was 16 at the time and was caught in the act by an elaborate plan by the guards of Dune. Luckily for him they did not know about the other times he had stolen much more valuable things and thus his punishment was 2 weeks in Dune’s jail. However he knew that he would be monitored from now on and he could not risk going back to his family, if he did, he would risk them all being caught. He decided to leave Dune and seek refuge wherever he could. A few days into his travels he was attacked by Bandits. This would have been the end of the line but he was rescued by a Guild of Nightblades. With nowhere to really go he asked for the guild to take him in, and they agreed. He spent the next 9 years with this guild of Nightblades, learning the art of stealth at a level he never thought possible and training in the skills of assassination. During these 9 years he utilized the training he was undergoing to become a mercenary specializing in thief work and of course, assassinations. He made a decent living with this job, able to look after himself and not rely on his guild mates as much. 6 years into his training he was granted the rank of ‘Night Master’- the second highest rank within the guild- proving he had a natural talent for stealth. It was at the end of these 9 years that the Aldmeri Dominion formed. Seeing the opportunity of a better paying job than mercenary work he signed up and worked for the Dominion as an Assassin- tasked with eliminating key targets and the occasional recovery mission. He slowly worked his way up the ranks of the army, eventually leading a squad of 5 assassins. The squad was extremely efficient and deadly, each member being picked out by Tzar himself. They had one of the best track records in the army, completing almost every mission they were given. It was only until an ambush carried out by The Daggerfall Covenant (those damn dirty blues) attacked a Dominion camp in Cyrodiil that things went to hell. The Dominions forces fought with all they had, but being severely outnumbered and flanked they didn’t stand a chance. In a desperate attempt Tzar got his squad together in order to take out the Covenant force’s leader. They made it to the Enemy camp and killed the leader, or so they thought. The Covenant had predicted an assassination attempt and put a decoy Captain in place. Tzar’s squad fought back, taking out many of the Covenant’s troops as they tried to retreat. With the use of his nightblade abilities Tzar managed to save 2 members of his squad, the other two however, were killed by the Captain himself. The 3 of them are the only known survivors of the ambush. Tzar was given time off from the army due to the trauma of the experience. He decided to spend his time in Valenwood as he enjoyed the piece of the forest, thinking it would do him good. He swears that the day he returns to the army the first blood that shall be spilt is that of the captain that killed his friends.
