HISTORY
Donvyn was born to a relatively wealthy family near Narsis, not far from the Tribunal Temple in Deshaan. His father was the owner of a saltrice plantation, and he had three older brothers. His mother perished from the Knahaten Flu barely a year after Donvyn was born, thus her youngest son has little memory of her. Being the youngest, Donvyn was not expected to inherit the plantation, nor be a great warrior and win glory for his family. Instead, his family was content to let him be a scholar. Donvyn showed promise as a researcher and a mage, and often dabbled in alchemy and fire elemental magic, once setting a barn on fire. Rather than being punished, his father praised him for accomplishing a spell at such a young age. He also enjoyed the fine arts, and his father employed tutors who taught him to paint and dance.
As Donyn grew, his paradigms of the idyllic plantation shifted as his education progressed. As most teenagers are wont to do, he became skeptical of the way his father presided over their property and profit, and he began to doubt the Tribunal he had worshipped throughout his childhood. In his excursions to the town of Narsis and the nearby outpost the Ashlanders sometimes frequented, Donvyn's love for stories bloomed. He listened to others with great interest, and found the worldly views of others to be quite different from those of the local dunmer. In hushed whispers, the Ashlanders made startling claims about the Tribunal. They claimed the livings gods were not gods at all, but heretics, murderers, and necromancers. The old dunmer nobles that frequented the taverns in Narsis complained about the Argonians, and how the lowly beastfolk and former slaves demanded to be treated as equals. The slaves on his father’s plantation regaled him with fantastical stories of Elsweyr, the two moons, Jone and Jode, and the creatures that lurked in the shadows when the nights were dark. And quietly, carefully, politely, they told Donvyn of how much they missed their homeland.
On the day of his eighteenth year, Donvyn received an invitation to the prestigious academy for magical studies, Shad Astula. His family, pleased with his accomplishments, threw a party in his honor. Most partygoers did not notice the guest of honor’s disappearance well into the night, but festivities came to a screeching halt when Donvyn was discovered sleeping in the slaves’ quarters, in bed with an Argonian laborer.
His family disgraced, Donvyn’s father handed his youngest son a pack with clothes and food, and pronounced Donvyn an exile. The slave boy was executed while Donvyn hid in the plantation house, a frightened youth who grew up spoiled and unused to hardship watching his life come crashing down around his ears. His brothers soon chased him out, leaving him with a broken arm, and Donvyn sought refuge with the Ashlanders he had known as a child. Angered and disappointed with his homeland, Donvyn studiously learned basic survival techniques, such as hunting, fishing, cooking, healing magic, and crafting clothing in preparation to leave Morrowind for good. Donvyn took whatever odd jobs he could find, including working as a Nightflower at the Ebony Flask in Ebonheart. With the mages guild conveniently located next door, Donvyn continued his medical studies, though he was not accepted as an official member of the guild because of his dishonored status. He stayed in Ebonheart until he had saved enough to buy himself passage to Valenwood. While sailing to Valenwood, he apprenticed under the ship's carpenter, who deemed it best to keep the seasick elf away from the other passengers.
To travel, Donvyn hired himself out as a caravan guard, though as a mage, he was an unusual one. However, many adventurous travelers found that his extensive knowledge of restoration magic was invaluable for long trips through dangerous terrain. Others preferred him for the entertainment he brought in addition to protection, such as the sketches he would draw with a stick of charcoal and a scrap of parchment on breaks, or the enchanting stories and songs he recited in the evenings. In his 20th year, a caravan bound to Elsweyr caught his attention, and Donvyn jumped at the chance to reach the land that had enchanted his precious stories.
The caravan twisted its way through Valenwood, selling at major cities, and Donvyn marveled at the towering trees and learned of the strange spinners of the Green Pact that could weave their own stories into reality. While traveling through Greenshade, Donvyn often stayed up late reading a vellum book about the spinners. It was during one of these late nights by the campfire that, alone and distracted by his book, Donvyn failed to see the creature that had crept up behind him. The feral, pale Bosmer moved like liquid shadow. Its attack was strange - it sank its teeth, sharp and unusually long, into the meat of his shoulder and seemed to suck at the blood that flowed forth. Its strength was incredible as it clung to Donvyn, and each swallow of blood seemed to dim his vision. He struggled weakly, and he must have made some noise, because two other guards came running from their tents with swords drawn. The creature fled into the night, seemingly dissipating into the night. The caravan woken, Donvyn’s bleeding shoulder was staunched and bandaged.
However, despite the tending to his wounds, it became clear to the caravan that Donvyn was very ill. A fever had seized him with fits of shaking and sweating, and no alchemical cure or spell the caravan possessed seemed to aid him. Fearing plague, or perhaps something more sinister, the caravan left Donvyn with a healer in Woodhearth. In his delirium, Donvyn vaguely remembers a figure hovering over his sickbed at the inn, though its silhouette did not match the wizened, bent frame of the old healer tending to him. The figure touched his forehead, and blessed sleep enveloped Donvyn.
He awoke bathed in dark waters with blood spilled down his front, gasping for air. In an underground vault, robed figures with blazing red eyes calmly helped him from the waters, as if they were used to such unusual situations, and explained themselves in soothing voices. They were the cult of Mother Lamae, the children of the first vampire. While a dumbstruck and horrified Donvyn knelt in the black pool, the vampires explained their history: a young, darling, Nedic priestess of Arkay was ravaged by the Daedric Prince of Pain and left to die, all to snub the Aedra of Life and Death. She awoke a changed creature, starving for the lifeblood of mortals, a scratching, clawing, constant thirst that Donvyn could feel in the dryness of his mouth and boiling in his veins.
For three years Donvyn lived with the cult, gradually accepting his fate. With vampirism came power, and should he choose to return to Morrowind, the older brothers that once terrified him would be no match for the razors of his teeth and the hunger in his throat. The call of his beloved stories sang louder than the savage call for blood. Donvyn was an explorer and romantic at heart, and he relentlessly trained himself to control his bloodlust to return to society.
Though the events of roleplay, he journeyed to Rivenspire at Bethany's direction with Elros to secure a cure for vampirism. The two hunted down the bloodsire that infected Donvyn all those years ago, and with the help of Krynger Battlecat and Krajin, crafted a cure to purge the blood-curse from his body and soul.

Healer's kit: Donvyn keeps a pack strapped to his hip equipped with surgical tools, painkillers, sedatives, disinfectant, poultices, bandages, herbs, and other medical paraphernalia.

Locket: A small golden locket with a crimson feather curled inside.
Ruby ring: A silver engagement ring set with rubies, gifted by Elros in a spur-of-the-moment engagement in which the Altmer felt romantically threatened by a goblin. On the inside of the band, it is inscribed with his and Elros's initials and the date of their vows.

ANIMALS:
Naedine: Donvyn's palomino filly. Her temperament is best described as 'flippant'. She enjoys apples and biting horses in front of her that are moving too slow.
Bottomless Pit: Affectionally nicknamed 'Pit', Korvos gifted Donvyn this livestock freckled guar as an impulse buy. Pit enjoys eating and can pack away disturbing amounts of food.

PERSONALITY
MEYERS-BRIGGS: INFJ
INFJ Description:
INFJs are distinguished by both their complexity of character and the unusual range and depth of their talents. Strongly humanitarian in outlook, INFJs tend to be idealists, and because of their J preference for closure and completion, they are generally "doers" as well as dreamers. This rare combination of vision and practicality often results in INFJs taking a disproportionate amount of responsibility in the various causes to which so many of them seem to be drawn.
INFJs are deeply concerned about their relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large. They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people -- a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, who can only be emotionally intimate and fulfilled with a chosen few from among their long-term friends, family, or obvious "soul mates." While instinctively courting the personal and organizational demands continually made upon them by others, at intervals INFJs will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates. This apparent paradox is a necessary escape valve for them, providing both time to rebuild their depleted resources and a filter to prevent the emotional overload to which they are so susceptible as inherent "givers." As a pattern of behavior, it is perhaps the most confusing aspect of the enigmatic INFJ character to outsiders, and hence the most often misunderstood -- particularly by those who have little experience with this rare type.
Due in part to the unique perspective produced by this alternation between detachment and involvement in the lives of the people around them, INFJs may well have the clearest insights of all the types into the motivations of others, for good and for evil. The most important contributing factor to this uncanny gift, however, are the empathic abilities often found in Fs, which seem to be especially heightened in the INFJ type (possibly by the dominance of the introverted N function).
This empathy can serve as a classic example of the two-edged nature of certain INFJ talents, as it can be strong enough to cause discomfort or pain in negative or stressful situations. More explicit inner conflicts are also not uncommon in INFJs; it is possible to speculate that the causes for some of these may lie in the specific combinations of preferences which define this complex type. For instance, there can sometimes be a "tug-of-war" between NF vision and idealism and the J practicality that urges compromise for the sake of achieving the highest priority goals. And the I and J combination, while perhaps enhancing self-awareness, may make it difficult for INFJs to articulate their deepest and most convoluted feelings.
Usually self-expression comes more easily to INFJs on paper, as they tend to have strong writing skills. Since in addition they often possess a strong personal charisma, INFJs are generally well-suited to the "inspirational" professions such as teaching (especially in higher education) and religious leadership. Psychology and counseling are other obvious choices, but overall, INFJs can be exceptionally difficult to pigeonhole by their career paths. Perhaps the best example of this occurs in the technical fields. Many INFJs perceive themselves at a disadvantage when dealing with the mystique and formality of "hard logic", and in academic terms this may cause a tendency to gravitate towards the liberal arts rather than the sciences. However, the significant minority of INFJs who do pursue studies and careers in the latter areas tend to be as successful as their T counterparts, as it is *iNtuition* -- the dominant function for the INFJ type -- which governs the ability to understand abstract theory and implement it creatively.
In their own way, INFJs are just as much "systems builders" as are INTJs; the difference lies in that most INFJ "systems" are founded on human beings and human values, rather than information and technology. Their systems may for these reasons be conceptually "blurrier" than analogous NT ones, harder to measure in strict numerical terms, and easier to take for granted -- yet it is these same underlying reasons which make the resulting contributions to society so vital and profound.
Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists - INFJs gravitate toward such a role - are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.
INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress.INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ.
"There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time.Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.
INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately.
Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.
