Sundas, 11th of Frostfall

Yesterday evening, there was a formal event for the Altmer queen. Nisa was surprised to receive an invitation to such an event. Nisa had never seen parchment so fine before, nor script so well written. This one knows she should not have attended such an event. This one did not heed her own warnings, and went anyway. Upon arrival, this one saw many people in dress such as this one had never seen. This one was overly aware of her attire but it was all she had. Nisa is not sure if it was grim determination or clouded judgement that did not send her away at that point, but it matters not now. When this one entered the building, the sight of the place was too lavish to comprehend. Nisa had never seen such a fine place, nor such fine food. This one stood in a corner and while one Altmer lady was nice enough to speak to Nisa, Nisa still felt very out of place. When gathering for the speech, Nisa had trouble paying attention. Altmer nobles always seem to talk just so they can hear their own voices. It annoys Nisa. Then there was dancing! Nisa was excited to dance, but the dances were so confusing! All Nisa knew was the traditional Khajiiti dance she had been taught at a young age. She tried to find a Khajiiti male to dance with, but upon seeing one, Nisa is embarrassed to say she was shy. This one resigned herself to petting a dog while watching the Khajiiti male in fine clothing dance with an Argonian with a broomstick. Nisa could not keep her eyes off the male, and could not keep his image out of her dreams last night. Nisa is confused, maybe this one should write to her brother, Vaskar, back home for advice. Vaskar would probably just laugh at this one. Maybe Nisa should write no letters. After dancing, the party went to go answer riddles, but Nisa decided to leave at this point. She does not do well with riddles, she did not do well with dancing, and she did not do well with mingling or the speech either. Nisa is not made for formal events such as these. But if this one must think of one reason why going to the event was worthwhile, it would be the Khajiit who danced with the Argonian. Why will he not get out of Nisa's head? Nisa needs to distract herself. This one shall stop writing and go see what there is to be done around town.
