Goddard,

My trip to the forests of Valenwood has proven fruitful. Rumors of a risen lich have yet to have been lent any credence, but several daedra cultists and sorceresses have been rooted out and brought to justice since my arrival. As in Shornhelm, witchcraft is still rampant. Several in the nearby settlement of Redfur Trading Post have been afflicted with a vile curse caused by witch activity to the south and investigation is still underway. There are indeed more of the werebeasts near Vulkwasten than you had anticipated and most townsfolk know it. Several of the beasts are being granted asylum even after the town's leadership knows full well what they are. I've made quite a lot of headway since my arrival in Vulkwasten and I have documented several notable cases and have enclosed details in the package with the letter. The Empire being what it is, I am unfortunately unable to ship the entirety of the specimens to your manor, but I have included various samples within the contents of the package for your records. Best wishes.

-S.G.

Specimen A

Specimen is male Imperial, approximately nineteen years of age. Specimen is afflicted with Lycanthropy. Time of death: Approximately 5:30 PM, 5th of Frostfall. Death reversion occurring approximately twenty minutes post- mortem. This would suggest that the specimen is feral. Matted fur and and unkempt canines suggest specimen has retained form for a longer than average period of time (Approximately four days). Cause of death: Blood loss and severe trauma to the upper- cranium by way of hand axe, and wounds at the left hip from a steel blade.

Victim is a male Bosmer, approximately forty-two years of age. Time of death: Approximately 5:30 PM, 5th of Frostfall. Cause of death: mutilation of the lower rib cage. Evidence of denticulated trauma to the right shoulder. Victim is missing false ribs: ten, nine, and eight on the victims left side. Also missing false ribs: ten and nine on victim's right side. Two of the missing ribs were found lodged in Specimen A's throat canal. For ribs bones, refer to Fig. A and Fig. B

Specimen B

Specimen is an Orsimer male, approximately twenty-seven years of age. Specimen is afflicted with Lycanthropy. Time of death: Approximately 4:56 PM, 8th of Frostfall. Cause of death: Loss of blood caused by crossbow inflicted wound. Death reversion occurring approximately twenty minutes post-mortem. As with Specimen A, Specimen B appears to be feral having not reverted shape in at least five days. For teeth measurements, refer to Figures C, D, and E.

Specimen C

Specimen C is Bosmer female, approximately sixty- three years of age. Spceimen is afflicted with Lycanthropy. Time of death: Approximately 5:03 PM, 8th of Frostfall. Specimen is at least three times the size of Specimens A and B, and is undoubtedly the Alpha of the pack. Death reversion occurring approximately one hour post- mortem. Specimen is feral. Cause of death: Severe blunt and penetrating force trauma inflicted by myself and one colleague. Specimen's right pelvic bone suffered blunt force trauma from unknown source pre-mortem. For measurements of Specimen's teeth, refer to figures F, G, and H.
