Haunting Memories

As the citizens of Vulkwasten traveled along in the caravan through various cities or villages, a tubby man named Dargo Tubius picked up an object of certain interest. This object, a statuette of a woman, had magical powers of its own which affected those that came into contact with it. Thinking nothing of it other then something of worth, Dargo kept this object which then began to manifest in a manner of malevolence. At first, it showed Xarineau visions of his past. Many other members of the caravan were affected likewise.

Once the caravan returned to the town of Vulkwasten, the spirit that was tied to the statue unleashed a variety of visions upon its victims. A khajiit lost his mind and bawled his eyes out in the middle of the tavern while an altmer suddenly assumed the rest of the tavern patrons were part of the Dark Brotherhood and tried to attack those around him, including the Treethane.

Alas for the spirit, it was finally put to rest. Bethany Hawke, Korvos Sarethi and Shado took the cursed statuette out of town and destroyed it once and for all, while the others calmed those affected.
