Circulating the towns of the Aldmeri Dominion, a special edition of the Dominion Herald is passed between gossiping civilians, finding their way to even the most remote of towns.

Infamous Drug Lord Daro'Zhinda Executed!

This Middas, on the 25th of Sun's Dusk, Daro'Zhinda, overlord of the terrorist Blue Skooma Cartel, was summarily executed at the hands of Aldmeri Dominion justiciars. Only days ago, the Khajiit was captured by a daring team of Thalmor, who spent the last week transporting her to Auridon through conditions dangerous enough to fell the heartiest of Nords.

Daro'Zhinda has been accused of multiple crimes, including, but not limited to, drug trafficking, murder, high treason, torture, assault, and grand larceny. For more than ten months, Thalmor agents and justiciars have been tracking Zhinda, attempting to end her operations in Valenwood, the small town of Vulkwasten allowing them a staging ground to work against the company.

When she was finally captured, she was transported to Auridon by the most elite that the Thalmor had to offer, where she was put to death without trial for her heinous crimes against the Dominion. Her head now adorns a spike atop the gates of Skywatch to remind all who pass that the Dominion is not to be trifled with. With Daro'Zhinda dead, the Thalmor hopes to return the Malabal Tor region of Valenwood to stability.

Glory to the Dominion, long live the Queen!

Baelinor today notified Thalmor agents of possible Daedric influence in Vulkwasten, unbeknownst to the town's inhabitants.

The guards in Vulkwasten had apparently neglected to inform the Thalmor that on the night of her capture, a lich in the service of Vaermina appeared in Daro'Zhinda's jail cell, telling all present that he and his master had struck some sort of deal with the leader of the Blue Skooma Cartel.

After making a return visit to Vulkwasten some days later, Baelinor noted the celebratory mood of the people and no action being taken regarding the lich. Baelinor returned to Elden Root with haste, and today made a detailed report to one Karn Wild-Blood of the Aldmeri Initiative.

The officer hinted at Thalmor agents visiting Vulkwasten in the coming days, although there are no known concrete plans of action at this time.

[OOC: Honey-Badger/Eranor okayed this, though I suppose more detailed cross-guild interaction might necessitate some more planning.]

(( Uh, I was not informed nor did I approve anything. I've talked to Badger and he said he did not approve this nor did he get to see these details. While I don't mind inter-guild RP, Mullet has very specific things planned regarding Zhinda and the lich, which may become overly complicated of we do introduce others. PLEASE refrain inviting other guilds into this story until we've had the chance to talk to Mullet about this story line. And please OOCly note that additionally, the guard captain is in fact a Thalmor (though she doesn't let the town know that), and knows full well about the lich and what is going on. But once again, Mullet has plans for this story, and we would need to discuss these plans before they're ready to be opened up to cross-guild interactions.

Another reason why this becomes complicated is because our guard captain is in fact a Thalmor ICly, though she was made one via a no longer active Thalmor RP guild. She was assigned to take down the drug cartel and whatever other issues (lich included) that appear in Vulkwasten, and therefore sort of has the domain there. Which means anyone who would like to join would be willing to work with her, and listen to her and her orders.

I would appreciate it if you tell whomever that if they'd like to join in on this story, to contact myself (@Sweet_Roll_Thief) to work something out, and that no unplanned visits occur, just so that the direction Mullet has in mind for this story isn't changed by an unplanned visit.))

I definitely spoke to Badger about talking to TAI about the lich. He even told me to "Tell Kuri-do Eranor said hi." I spoke to the highest-ranking officer I could find just to make sure this sort of thing wasn't frowned upon.

Sorry if this surprised you. I was in group chat with several TAI members and directed them to these forums to communicate and get a better idea of what's going on. It's also up to them to decide if they want to respond to the report IC, so nothing has been planned at all.

I don't see the harm in having somebody else walk into town and RP for a bit. I really doubt anyone who did would attempt to hijack the guild storyline.

The guard captain being Thalmor could be very easily explained by the fact that the Thalmor have different branches. As for the specific plans for the lich, I'm sure 1 or 2 extra people around wouldn't disrespect the RPers intent.

Of course, these are only suggestions. It's up to you if you think it could break any plans. If there is something in the works around which there is absolutely no flexibility, then I'd request that those sort of things should be posted on the forum. The subforum for active storylines isn't very active.

In respect for guild story plots, cross guild rp is something that has to be ok'ed with the GM and only the GM for obvious reasons. Involving other RP guilds can be tricky if not planned through proper OOC channels first, as there can be massive discrepancies with IC Laws, lore adherence, and OOC guild rules.

There was probably just a miscommunication down the line somewhere then.

I really don't mind having people around and RPing with us. Please don't get that confused - I'm always open to new people coming around for RP, in fact I encourage it and prefer that such a thing happens. Invite how many ever, and whomever you'd like to come RP with us. I don't mind so long as they follow our Rules of Conduct and are aware of our IC Town laws and the consequences that come with breaking them. I just want to make sure things as you said, aren't hijacked, as it would be unfair to Mullet to have people unannounced jump in on the story and make it twist into something else. If people are willing to let the story unfold as it does, there shouldn't be an issue.

I'll see if Mullet can get a post up regarding the storyline. I myself am not entirely sure how flexible/inflexible the story is. Apologies for the lack of communication regarding the stories and such, as we're down a few active officers and it's difficult for us to stay on top of that. I realize that can be very annoying.

But, thank you for attempting to set things up with other guilds. I appreciate the initiative and I think it could definitely be fun if we got them involved in some way, so long as things are planned out.

I understand the difficulties, and that's why I simply let them know some of the things Baelinor witnessed IC, and then OOC I told them to reach out to us if they wanted to get involved. That way, if they did want to do something in Vulkwasten, we could discuss it together and make sure any level of involvement was fun for everyone.

I thought the rule was to contact a Diplomacy officer or higher. I first approached Hero, who told me he doesn't keep up with the story, so he couldn't say. Then I contacted Badger, a senior officer. If only Elsy can ok IC interactions, then I'll keep that in mind, but something that important should be explained in the rules as well.

Well then thank you! I suppose I was a little confused from the IC explanation. I have no issues with that.

Yes, that is the rule. I think Raccoon may have the wrong impression. Generally those officers are supposed to check in with me, but there was a miscommunication on that front. It's not your fault, or anyone's really. Mine if anyone's, I've been extremely busy IRL and out of game, so I've been especially difficult to get ahold of.

But thanks again, if they do want to get involved, I think it will be fun.

Sorry if my first reply wasn't clear, or seemed to suggest anything was done behind the backs of others. I tried to write it in the same vaguely "bulletin" style as the OP, but I guess that wasn't such a good idea. There was nothing else planned behind the scenes than what was included in the post.
