Physical Description
Ysobyll is an Altmer, that race that’s known for their long, willowy forms and their golden skin. Somehow, while still very tall when compared to the other races, Ysobyll ended up a bit curvier than most Altmer females – a trait which her husband seems to quite enjoy. Pale, for an Altmer, Ysobyll betrays only the slightest dusting of gold to her skin. Her eyes are crystalline blue, almost pale enough to be white. She has no real scars – not from lack of battles, but rather from her deft abilities as a healer.

Personality
Ysobyll has two very different personality traits, depending on her situation. At home, when moving in any scholarly institution, when mingling with her peerage, Ysobyll is comfortable and confident in her station, her place in the order of things. Remove her from this, put her in a new situation where new people (especially non-Altmeri), and she becomes very nervous, often quite verbose as she over-thinks and over-explains herself. Her husband, Lotherin, is often amused at how his intelligent, graceful wife can become so flighty when taken out of her element.

Interestingly, Ysobyll has been quite known to take off on her own, traveling, exploring, learning new things, seeing new places … so long as she’s alone. Throw new people around, and the fumbling babbler returns.

Ysobyll is driven by a need to fix things, to right wrongs, to learn, to know, to experience and understand. Part of her need to understand drives her to constantly take notes, which she later pores over in order to find associations that make sense of what she’s observed – at least make sense to her.

Likes:
Knowledge, and the gaining of it
Laughter
Exploration
Reading
Her home, her kingdom, her husband

Dislikes:
Subjugation
Willful ignorance
Petty and vindictive behavior

Weaknesses:
Situations outside her comfort zone
Lack of self-confidence

Background
Ysobyll was raised on her family’s estate outside Silverwood, in the Summerset Isles. She was given every opportunity to learn as much as she was able to learn, eventually becoming a member of the Mage’s Guild – as had so many other members of her family, from times long passed.

At 25, she was offered by her family to the Palanor family’s son, Lotherin, as a concubine; a political arrangement that, surprisingly, worked very well for the two.

Ysobyll and Lotherin, both singly and as a couple, have extensively explored the continent of Tamriel, and have both been engaged in many battles – both with compatriots, and at times in defense of those they stumbled upon. It is Ysobyll’s goal to join the Psijic Order; to this end, she studiously devours every tome of magick use she can find. Currently, Ysobyll considers herself an operative of her queen, traveling as needed at her queen’s command – whether to put down an uprising, to obtain information, or to assist – a task for which she is both well- and poorly-suited.
