House Amelle Heraldry... or making Bethany a proper Noble.

This is the end result of days of research into the medieval European heraldry, it's meaning and specific rules of composition. As Bethany slowly takes on her Amelle legacy, the simple study of this crest may reveal volumes about both past, and present situation of once prominent noble house of Rivenspire. (other than that, it was a royal headache of color-matching, detail-making... and latin writings :D). Wanted to know your opinion on that piece of horror art.

And so, THE MEANINGS!!!! :D

Colors:
*Silver / White – Argent: Signifies truth, sincerity, peace, innocence and purity.
*Black – Sable: Signifies wisdom, grief, constancy and prudence.
*Blue – Azure: Signifies loyalty, chastity, truth, strength and faith.
*Red – Gules: Signifies magnanimity, military strength, warrior.
*Purple – Purpure: Signifies temperance, regal, justice, royal majesty, and sovereignty.




*The helmet at the top of the coat of arms indicates that the bearer had known and/or experienced warfare, was a soldier or a fighter. Note - the plumage at the crown of the helmet is moderately small, indicating that the house had only just received/recovered it's status as nobility, and thus bears only moderate amount of influence, and likely a lack of any substantial holdings. The purple marks indicate that at one stage, the house either was related to, or represented royalty, however the size and shape of plumage as well as minor presence of the purple color indicates that those days are long since past. Thus, it is mere acknowledgement of the house's origin/history, without any bearing on the present situation.

*The upper part bears clear symbols of Lady Azura - the sigil of the crescent Moon, and Star. Note - worship of Azura is a recognized religion in the Northern parts of High Rock, including but not limited to provinces of Stormhaven and Rivenspire.

*The sigil of the house Amelle is a jet-black Raven, a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and Arcane prowess. Note - on top of that, a presence of any bird on the coat of arms generally indicates peace, affection for the home and family.
*The House Amelle motto: - "Vincit qui patitur" (ancient Cyrodiilic, aka Latin), meaning - "He conquers who endures".

It took a few books and a good chunk of glorious internet data to make sense of all this, but I hope the end result was worth it! :)
