ESO @name:
@Cappuccijoe (This will be changed to @MayaDuskwalker in… likely no more than 48 hours)
Character Name:
Maya Duskwalker
Race:
Bosmer/Wood Elf
Age:
26 (by human years, from what I understand that makers her about 50/60 in Bosmer years, but I’m unsure.)
Sex:
Female
Marital Status:
Single
Sexual Orientation:
Bisexual
Physical Description
Maya, as most wood elves she has known tend to be, is a rather short woman, healthy curves outline her figure from years of physical work keeping her in shape, and eating the best food someone else’s money can buy. Most of her wardrobe consists of leathers and cloth; the same gear she uses on the job, whether that be thievery, rabble rousing or adventures in general, but has occasionally been sighted wearing plate when it suits the job she’s been hired for. The one thing she hardly budges on, however, is that she likes to go on without a helmet. She likes her targets to be able to see her short, charcoal colored, sideswept hair that loosely covers her right eye, her large, pale blue eyes, and most importantly, the deep, grotesque scar that runs from just above her eyebrow, through to the bottom of her cheekbone. The motivation that keeps her going. The only two weapons she has dared lay her hands on since her adolescence are two, simple, iron daggers. Always gets the job done.
Flairs: As previously mentioned, Maya has a jagged scar that runs from just above her eyebrow down, through her eyelid and into her cheekbone. This was gained as an occupational hazard, but Maya is very self-conscious about it. Miraculously, Maya's eye appears to have been undamaged in the incident. Maya always has many, many tattoos that take up both of her arms, and slightly into her chest. These tattoos recount tales of adventure, of hardship, pain and of former loves, stories that Maya wishes to never be forgotten.
Personality
Maya, as a result of her troubled past, has grown into quite the introvert, and a snippy one at that. Maya has very little interest in appeasing anyone, and is absolutely unafraid to tear someone down if she disapproves of someone’s behavior. For this reason, Maya tends to avoid conflict altogether by remaining distant, cold, and as dismissive as possible. The reality of the situation, however, is that this is all one big show; Maya wishes she could speak to people without coming off as crass, perhaps deeper than any of her punishing insults is a fierce desire to have a companion, be it romantic or otherwise. Whatever friends Maya has had in the past she tends to hold in a light reserves only for gods and kings, and would give her life to protect any and all that see her as a human being and not as a street rat, or even worse, a weapon. Upon getting to know Maya, one would learn that she is actually quite well educated; unusual for someone who spends a living stealing and fighting, but this is a result of her early childhood being spent primarily under the instruction of her father, a Mage for the Guild of Chorall.
Background
Maya was NOT the subject of a parent-less life, as most thieves, rogues, and general troublemakers otherwise are. Rather, she was once a very promising student of magic, taught by her father, a Mage belonging to the Guild in the city of Chorral the family belonged to. As Maya approached adolescence, goblins and other creatures in the wilderness had begun to rise, and concern had sprouted amongst the city. Whether this was a product of the Hackdirt heretics and their obsession with the Deep Ones was uncertain, but nonetheless it had to be dealt with, so thought Maya’s father at the time. This was the last time she had ever seen her father, and has since forsakened magic for not being able to protect even the most noble of men in their time of need. Instead, Maya has turned to a life of crime, following the lethal and vengeful path of the dagger and cloak. After straining her relationship with her mother to the point of breaking, Maya has reflected in her younger adult years and now wishes to take her fatal talents and apply them in a manner that will help protect the innocent.
