A note, scrawled on parchment and handwritten sloppily and smelling strongly of vanilla, hangs on the outer walls of the tavern, held in place only by a small iron dagger. Though this time it is written in black ink, the handwriting would be recognizable to anyone following the case of the local serial killer, the Watcher. The note reads as follows:

My Friends,
it's been too long since we've had a good game, but it seems I am out of pawns. No matter, I will find someone. Consider yourselves lucky, my victims rarely receive a forewarning to their demise. I will watch, I will wait, I will laugh, as you scramble to find who my kill shall be and protect them. But you can't protect them all. I know this much. Someone in this town will be dead. Soon. This I promise. Oh how long it has been, my friends, how long it has been.

~ Your dear friend, master of the game, the Watcher.
