Flair: Ocato lost his left eye while dueling a mage on the Isle of artaeum : Ocato's soul was partially trapped by a Maormer wizard and has had a shortage of magicka ever since.

According to current knowledge and what Ocato has said he was born on 1st of Hearthfire 1E1910. As a child Ocato would constantly judge other adolescents and question the ethics of the elders around him, it is said he had never smiled. As he was being raised by a derelict Direnni heiress ; Elsinal Direnni, he often wondered why his family was hidden from the public and almost nonexistent, well it would turn out that his mother had run away from home to raise a child outside of the Direnni clan but eventually she was found and executed in front of Ocato, this didnt mean much to Ocato and as he reflects on this he often thinks it was the Just thing to do. After the Direnni clan took him in he was given a mystic evaluation and the clan recognized his great potential and he was sent to the Isle of Artaeum to train until 2E560 where he began his adventures and acted independently with the Aldmeri Dominion as a Psijic council. Ocato would be caught in a struggle between the Maormer and the AD on the coast of Auridon, he was sent in with other mages to provide reinforcements but he was ultimately caught and a Maormer wizard attempted to preform a soul trap but was interrupted as reinforcements arrived, and members of the mages guild arrived to provide extraction. Ocato spent 15 years in remission training his mind to recover from his injury and he would resume his duties for the AD in 2E583 the same year the Planemeld occured. He currently is a independent mage with a vast array of expertise traveling on his own throughout Tamriel, his main goal as of now is to travel to the soul cairn and find his soul fragment.
Ocato is currently focusing in on realms of Oblivion, he beleives it is a perfect time to travel to the soul cairn as the 'Veil between mundus and Oblivion has been torn. He is researching known expeditions to the soul cairn, and is fixated on the so called "ideal masters" he believes he may be able to strike a deal with them, if not he will invade the soul cairn with the help of the Psijic's.
Ocato is a strong supporter of the Aldmeri dominion and he hopes to see it last for a long time, he also would see the mortal human/ beast races (excluding Khajiit he has a elaborate fetish for them ) enslaved as they are to young and unwise to be in control of mundus. He disagrees with Ayrenn of several points most notably the Presence of Altmer being equals to other races, he doesnt mention any specifically (besides humans/beasts .
TLDR
Although it hinted that the final chapers of the DIrenni royalty died out over the end of the 1st era and early 2nd era, there are still few historical remarks that prove this wrong, and Ocato is among those Exceptions. His exact origins are unclear though it is hinted that he is a relative of Vorian Direnni and was raised by that particular sect of the family. Ocato spent much of his life devoted to studying and training his mind on the Isle of Artaeum, he is considered an expert on the subject of destruction magic and is a devout follower of Auri-El. When Ocato returned from Artaeum he was ambushed by a Maormer wizard of the coast of Auridon and some of his life-force was drained by this but he maintains he is as strong as ever. Currently Ocato had been last seen as a independent emissary of the Psijic Order aiding the Aldmeri Dominion.
