Faction Check-ins
The Black Gulls: have not added any members this week. We had a decent turnout for our open multi-faction event on Sunday. There were members of both the Gulls and the Mage's guild present, as well as a couple of characters who are not currently in any faction. There will be a follow up event to resolve the current storyline on Thursday, which will again invlove some members of the Mage's guild.
Mages Guild: another recruit added to the fold, the internal event is currently in development. A smaller 4-man series of events continues to progress, with a purpose of advancing story and refining new combat mechanics.
Fighters Guild gotten a new member. no planned events but I have been toying witha new RP combat/quest system that I plan on using for all FG events. The same one Varus and Pheenie uses.
Check-ins
The Diplomacy Department: This week we have added 9 new members to the guild. We have intentionally stopped doing Zone Ads in order to better manage the people that we currently have. The Diplomacy Dept. will begin working with Faction Leaders to help them develop internal structures to better manage the people that they have. We will also begin giving time to reaching out to new people IC in order to help them get connected with Factions. During this time we will continue to update the websites that we advertise on, but will pause Zone Ads. Once we feel comfortable with the structures that we have developed, we will begin recruiting again through Zone Ads.
Roster Dept: has been running smoothly it seems with a good amount of members. We've been able to keep ontop of everything including website tags. I have been able to become quite a bit more active now ingame (even though my main duty is on the website which I have been active on anyway.)
Scribe: As always not much hizapening. I've got mullet doing the Newsletters from now on so- they should start being sent out soon. Speaking to factions has been going well for me. Seeing alot of popularity for the mages guild right now. That's pretty much it
Scribe: Not much to say as usual. I've got Mullet starting up on the Newsletters again so they should start being sent out again, Speaking to members about factions has been going well, and Scribe/Chronicle department could really use some officers.
Faction Growth
The large amount of new members joining the guild meaning that factions are growing extremely quickly. The problem with this is that the factions will grow larger and, due to most factions not having a structure, Factions will become chaotic and we will have the same problem with new members not being able to jump into RP easily (wh. The way to fix this is by making sure each faction has a ranking system.
