pinned ZoS Meeting Suggestions List

SO, the lovely ElfFromSpace, the GM of a ton of trade guilds like Elder Scrolls Exchange, Merchant's Circle, Iron Bank of Bravos, and so forth, invited me to regularly join their monthly ZoS meetings, where 2-3 devs get in TS with us (us being, GMs of about 30 other guilds, though we're the only RP guild) and we ask some questions and make suggestions.

Which brings me to, what things would you guys like to see that would aide RP? List them down below and I'll see what I can suggest!

Suggestions:
-emotes while sitting
-more emotes in general
-being able to set armor as costumes (would consume armor you're wearing to make costume & possibly cost gold)
-ability to purchase more character slots in crown store
-give us more NPC clothing, I MEAN IT'S IN THE GAME ALREADY GUYS
-new hair styles too THAT ARE ALREADY IN THE GAME

Things currently in progress we'd like to reiterate:
-player housing/guild housing
-barber shop
-general appearance editor

Add-on Ideas:
-character chat name highlighter

Player Housing!

The Ability to 'claim' smaller towns (like Vulk, Sren, Redfur, Willowgrove etc.) similar to how you can claim forts in Cyrodiil. This would simply give the NPC guards of the town the guild banner (so they look like actual town guards) and let others know that you RP there. Wouldn't serve any purpose other than Immersion and advertising.

Player housing with the addition of Guild Halls or Secret bases that are accessible to Guild members. This means more places to RP with the benefit of no trolls, aswell as the fact that (in BSR's case) factions can make their own cool hideouts or Barracks.

The Ability to mix certain emotes. For example being able to sit and read, sit and eat, sit and write etc. Aswell as a continuous /write emote

A feature where you can highlight your character's name in chat. That way you can keep track of anyone who tries to talk to your character when RP chat is hectic. This would be done by either having it automatically look for your full character name (Tzar'Manak) or by being able to enter a word for it to look for so nicknames work too (Tzar)

I want to caution against your first one. A lot of RPers tend to view "claiming" towns as negative, as it is a public space still and anyone, even if they're not in the guild, does technically still have the right to RP there. I've seen at LEAST 2 giant rambling semi-passive-aggressive threads blow up into full blown arguments about this in the general TESO RP community site, and the consensus by the greater community is that, no guild "owns" or "claims" anything. Even the guild site map there exists purely to show people who is hanging out where and what types of RP you can find in certain areas. It is not to give claim to areas the guilds that are listed as RPing in.

That's why our policy is to simply ignore those that don't have canon lore with ours. That way, we're not pushing them around and telling them where to RP, but they're not bothering us. We're letting each other be, and hopefully not impeding on each other's RP.

Luckily most people aren't idiots and respect guilds, and realize that, "Hey that guild probably wouldn't appreciate it if I came in with my guild and/or group of friends tried to RP there," but you know, there's always those few.

Yeah implementing claiming may cause issues depending how it would be done aside from player issues. Would be be combat based? Pve? A gold sink like merchants?

ANYWAYS

Simple things:
EMOTES
-Eating while sitting
-drinking while sitting
-looping pie emote (I know you all want this, I feel it.)
-Reading while sitting
-Looped writing
-Tea emote (fancy)
-more lootable rp clothes.

More complex things:

-player housing
-Barber shop
-what sheep said about highlighting player names!
-Fix mesh issues and bugged crown store items (Chest on the redguard tank top is hot mess, Blue dress pinching in to ridiculous proportions, miner animation issues with idle dog's leg, dog's mouth being insanely paper thin on black lab and golden retriever.)
-Turning off pet sounds.
