(This is my currently most-active character. Figured I'd try to give her some background I can work with.)

- ESO @name: @Draco4000

- Character Name: Maelzahan

- Race: Bosmer (Wood Elf)

- Age: 24 years

- Sex: Female

- Marital Status: Single

- Physical Description:
~~ Shoulder-length, matted red hair that is usually dirty.
~~ Scar-like markings on her face and body, in very intricate and obvious patterns rather than random wounds.
~~ Three small bronze piercings on her chin.
~~ Quite short and curvy, even for a Bosmer female, due to a lot of cheese in her diet...
~~ She always has with her a child's straw doll, colours painted messily on two halves of the body to resemble Sheogorath's most recognizable red and purple outfit.

- Personality:
Maelzahan is first and foremost, quite noticeably a little mad in the head. Anyone who is around her enough, and especially those who approach her and attempt to engage in conversation, will notice that she acts quite strange compared to most people. She can often be heard mumbling to herself as if she's having a conversation with another unseen person, answering questions that were never actually asked or agreeing/disagreeing with people that no one else can hear. When she's speaking to someone else who DOES exist in the flesh, she usually keeps her eyes pointed to the floor, and looks around the area occasionally as if she's being watched. She will also do random things like giggle or mumble while in mid-conversation, or play with her hair.

Other than her slight madness, she is a very sweet young woman for the most part. She is typically up for assisting people who might need help, and follows instructions very well despite acting like she may not even be paying attention half the time. She takes a great interest in topics such as magic and daedric artifacts, and will more than likely jump at the chance to investigate such rumours or locations containing these things above most else. She is also quite mischievous at times, however, and loves to play tricks on people. She has no qualms with picking someone's pockets should she believe that they have something she might want. What, exactly, she may "want" at the time changes with the wind.

Maelzahan likes...
- Humour
- Playing pranks or tricking people
- Outwitting people (usually her opposition, but not always)
- Magic and magical artifacts or tomes/scrolls
- Daedric lore and artifacts
- Sheogorath
- Cheese

Maelzahan's dislikes include...
- The Veiled Heritance
- Being ordered around. (Requests are fine. It's all in the approach.)
- People with no sense of humour
- People who badmouth Sheogorath

Strengths and skills
- Destruction magic
- Restoration magic (to a lesser extent)
- Sneaking unseen and thievery
- Very difficult to deceive

Weaknesses or hindrances
- Quite reckless, often endangering herself for no good reason
- Touch of madness can often get in the way of people trusting her or getting to know her
- Very limited physical power or endurance

- Background:
Maelzahan's family was murdered by early Veiled Heritance supporters; a racist faction of High Elves who believed that Bosmer and Khajiit were beneath them and needed to be tucked away. Both of her parents, as well as her older brother, were slain in an attack on their small and forgotten Bosmer village around 20 years ago, leaving the girl alone to survive in the harsh wilderness. The murderers had seen her, but decided to let her live for sheer amusement, assuming that the cruel world would finish the job. What they hadn't counted on was her survival, albeit by an unlikely intervention.

In one of his many random moods, the Mad God Sheogorath heard the girl's cries as he wandered the forest on a leisurely stroll (as he often decided to walk among mortals merely for something to do), and the sound annoyed the heck out of him. He found her and asked her to stop the racket, but she was miserable and knew that her family was never coming back. Instead of punishing the girl, however, he wanted to twist the situation into something a little more entertaining, so he decided to take her under his wing as an unofficial adopted child of sorts. Of course, this meant that she was now being raised by a mad man, and it rubbed off on her as she grew older under his tutelage (if one can call it that).

Sheogorath taught her the ways of magic, mainly destructive in nature as he was a big fan of it's chaotic nature , but he made sure that she knew enough restorative magic to keep herself alive as well, for no better reason than to keep the "game" going. He also taught her how to sneak around in the shadows and effectively pick peoples' pockets for gold or trinkets that she could sell to feed and clothe herself. He did enjoy watching the inevitable reactions when her 'victims' finally noticed their belongings had gone missing. It was a simple pleasure he could never get enough of. The Mad God was never overly protective of her either, however, allowing her to deal with her own problems to witness how his "teaching" methods had sunk in. Even if she stumbled into real danger, he simply sat back and watched how things played out, assuming that she'd figure out a way to save herself. If she happened to die, he would simply shrug his shoulders, and invite her soul to join him on the Shivering Isles.

Obviously, on the flip-side however, his constant influence in her life took a toll on her sanity. In combination with her family's destruction and being left to survive on her own for most of her youth, his constant whispered conversations in her ear twisted her mind a little. She is now slightly mad herself, although she is still in control of her senses enough to live among civilized folk, for the most part. Very few people attempt to converse with her without good reason, however, as most locals know that she's the "mad-touched girl" in town.

(The scar-like markings on her face and body were markings made on her skin by Sheogorath, basically "claiming" her as a somewhat devoted follower, and taking her under his wing.)

(( Let it be known OOCly, her affiliation with Sheogorath in no way gives her any advantages or super powers. He had his fun messing with her growth and development, and he couldn't care less what happens to her now that she's grown. The fun is in the danger, after all! ))
