A series of letters would arrive for Alijham. All would be written on the same type of parchment, his name scrawled across the envelope, in an all-too familiar, hardly legible handwriting.

Upon opening them, the handwriting would seem a lot more relaxed, as though the writer actually had time to sit and think on the letter, instead of writing it in a hurried, half-hearted manner.

Ali,

I'm sorry again for leaving under the circumstances I did, and with such short notice. I am ever-thankful for having someone who loves me, cares for me, and understands me enough to not only question my desire for a sudden vacation from my job, but someone who would even pack for me, clean up my mess, and take up part of my duties, both as a Treethane and a mother, while I'm away. I love you more than I could ever hope to express.

The trip out here has been very... reflective? All of the snow makes for a lot of peaceful quiet, and I'm actually starting to almost like the cold. Heh, almost. I'm spending the night in Windhelm, but I'm going to see if I can hire a carriage or find someone who'd lend me a horse, so that I can make the trip into Falkreath.

I miss you, and the little ones. Are they all alright? Be sure to hug and kiss them for me.

Yours always,
Elsy

Love,

I managed to pay a local in exchange for using their horse for a few days. I gave them an old, but rather expensive necklace of mine my mother gave me a bit a go, to hold onto. The agreement is that he will return it once I've given him his horse back.

I'm happy to say I've made it to Falkreath, and I'm writing this from your old home. I ran into Nolos in town, and actually asked him for directions. I had a small suspicion it was him though, as he looks so much like your mother. He took me back to the home after I explained to him who I was and that you'd sent me to ask him if he might come visit you. The home is more beautiful than I imagined. Your brother's done a lovely job of taking care of it. The garden is well-kept. He's even hung some nice paintings around the place.

Your brother is well and excited to see you. He seemed to even want to leave right away, but I asked if I might rest a few days first. Though... it seems the house makes him uneasy. He mentioned to me he considered moving some time ago.

Your first wife... she never really left. Her spirit still lingers in what I assume to be your old bedroom, and your brother is almost afraid of her. He boarded up the window in the room and keeps a curtain over the door. He wanted to ask her to leave, but never had the courage, so I went into the room to see if I might be able to communicate with her. But he seems to think she's afraid of me, as she quiets when I try. She's been scattering items around the room, and I did hear one item fall during my time here, so I know she is there. Nolos suggested I wait until she seems ready to communicate with me. In the meantime, he's offered to show me around. I think he'll be taking me to the lake.

I hope I get a chance to help him with Camommillia, and communicate with her. I'll let you know more as things happen, but for now I'm going to explore the area with Nolos as my guide.

I hope all is well back home. I hope you and the little ones are safe and happy. I miss you all terribly.

Yours always,
Elsy

Elsy,

There is no problem in it, love, you deserved and needed some time for yourself. I'd do anything to make sure you're kekp happy and healthy.

Seems like you're starting to turn more into me, which I'm fine with. Hah.

I miss you, too, and they little ones are just fine. I took them out to the river today to have a picnic.

I had no doubts that he would keep the house in excellent condition. He's a good mer, and a responsible one. I wouldn't blame him for leaving if he did, though, the house makes me uneasy as well.

I know that her spirit lingers. I could tell that it did, as I stayed for a couple weeks after she died. Camommillia and Nolos never got along very well, so I understand his fear. She was a powerful woman in mind, although she was gentle in body.

I do not think she is afraid of you. She may just be offput, or confused. Perhaps she doesn't like you because she heard you talking about me.

I would tell him that I said so, that I think the best course of action is to leave the house to be overgrown by the forest. That way, no one has to feel the emotions inside of it and Camommillia can keep it for herself. It is hers, after all. Falkreath was always her home.

All is very well here. I miss you, and I'll see you soon.

Love,
Ali

Love,

Thank you. And aye, I blame all the time we spend together, heh. I'm glad that the little ones are well. I wish I could have been there.

Aye, I thought it was strange she'd be afraid of me, after hearing of how strong of a woman she was in life. I was actually a little afraid to go into the room myself, being your second wife and all. I thought she'd have some resentment for me. But perhaps she'll be interested in communication after I've stayed here a bit longer.

I'll tell him what you said. He and I had a nice talk by the lake. He told me he had divorced his wife, and she returned to Black Marsh. The break up seemed mutual and ended on fairly good terms, from what he said. He also mentioned wanting to move to Vulkwasten. The house, besides having Camommillia, reminds him of his ex-wife as well. Leaving the home to Camommillia and the forest may be the best course of action... It seems your brother needs to leave as much as you did back then.

We'll be leaving for home in a day or so. The stay here has been restful. I only hope Camommillia communicates with me before we depart.

I can't wait to see you and the little ones again.

Yours always,
Elsy

Elsy,

I do, too. I look forward to spending more when you get back. Hopefully the town calms down a little by then, aye?

Honestly, she probably does if she knows that you're my second wife. But she is not physical, and the most she'd do was try and scare you.

Thank you. Did he? That's unfortunate, Shahvee was a good woman. I'd like him to come to Vulkwasten, he could help a lot. He's an excellent hunter.

I wonder what she'd say to you.

I'll see you soon,

Ali
