Rules for Betting

1. Betting is based on fixed odds and is based mainly on the number of racers, and the players' past performances in races.
2. There will be an opportunity to place bets immediately before the race.
3. The odds of each bet will be posted on the website the day of the race.
4. Each bet is 200 gold. You can place multiple bets on any outcome (e.g. 400 gold, 600 gold, etc)
5. Odds are expressed in decimal format. This means the total payout will be those odds multiplied by the total you wagered. For example, if you put 200 gold on a racer to win with odds of 4.0, you would receive 800 gold. Higher odds means a greater payout, but also a less likely outcome.
6. Types of Bets:
To Win – your racer must win the race
To Place – your race must come in first or second place
To Show – your racer must come in first, second, or third place (only available for larger races)
Exacta – You pick 2 racers, to come in first and second, in that exact order.
Perfecta – You pick 3 racers to come in first, second, and third, in that exact order. (only available for larger races)
