History
Mei-Li is the daughter of a Redgard trader Firion Carti and Breton wife Ameina they ran a trade route between Dune in Red March and Hallin’s Stand in Bankorai bringing Skooma into the Daggerfall Covenant. One night just outside of Dune the caravan was attacked and her father had Mei-Li and her mother hide in one of the smuggling compartments in his wagon. The battle did not last long Mei-Li heard the screams and pleading of the caravan members she had grown up with silenced.
Someone entered the wagon and came straight to the hidden compartment ripping open the door. She was unable to see who was in the wagon but she saw a horrified look of recognition on her mother’s face. Suddenly there was an enormous pressure on her mind and she began to black out but as she faded she could hear her mother’s quiet pleading to save her and heard a raspy voice say “beloved”. When Mei-Li next awoke the caravan was gone and she was in a lush forest outside of what she later found out was Red Fur trading post over a week later.
Mei-Li was alone and friendless but was taken in by the Hollow Moon and soon became known for her exploits and seeming affinity for the night earning her the nickname Mooncide for her deadly accuracy throwing knives in the darkness. Moon spent several happy years with the Hollow Moon and was discovered in Red Fur by an elven shaman Nedmin who sensed her magical abilities and adopted her. Nedmin taught her a sense of responsibility and also strengthened her magical skills but she still enjoys using the skills she learned when she was with the Hollow Moon.
