Rumors:
He had a single book published 2 years ago, Understanding the Green Pact, it was in print for a short time in Valenwood and sold well in the Summerset Isle for a few months. His modern works include poetry that has appeared in some modern collections in Northern Valenwood.
Some Bosmer may know him as the Jaqspur who was ambushed by a Senche-Tiger and was taken out of commission after the muscles in his shoulder were torn.
Background:
Alidraen was born in a small, heavily spiritual village in the western parts of Valenwood. From a young age he was disciplined in the teachings of Y'ffre and was taught to follow the Green Pact. At the age of 13, the wood elf had mastered the long bow and followed his mother's hunting parties. Through his teenage years, he developed a love for poetry, specifically the Meh Ayleidion and took to writing some of his own on leaves while waiting to ambush prey. This habit remained a hobby until his twenties where he began to work on his book, Understanding the Green Pact and consequently spent less time training in stealth and combat.
Five years ago, Alidraen's father was killed during a brief border dispute with another tribe. Despite the two villages making peace, his tribe decided to start a Mourning War. They captured and tortured a man of Alidraen's father's age as an act of mourning. It was at this time that he began to question the old ways of the Bosmer. After a long day, he headed into the forests and climbed a tall tree to commune with Y'ffre about his thoughts. It was there that he let his guard down and was ambushed by a large Senche-Tiger that pinned him down and tore his right shoulder, permanently damaging it and making him unable to shoot a bow for a long while. Alidraen took this as a sign from the divines and decided to leave his village and his past life.
After his awakening, as he called it, the Bosmer, now 29 years old, headed for Silvenar and immediately continued work on his book and began to further his scholarly knowledge on a variety of subjects. A year later, his book was published.
Personality:
Alidraen will often keep to himself in the company of strangers, preferring not to reveal many details of his life unless he is sure that his company is one that he feels comfortable with. With friends, Alidraen has a tendency to get quite loud and merry, especially in the presence of alcohol. He tends to be more comfortable in the company of women, due to his time spent with his mother and her hunting party that was mostly comprised of other women. He can come off as a flirt with both sexes, even when he does not aim to be, leading some to be offended and others intrigued.
