Gaming Keyboard

Im in the market to buy a gaming keyboard and mouse. Something that is backlit, not loud, has macro keys and can be used for regular typing.

What keyboard and mouse would you recommend?

Wtf are macro keys?

(Macro keys are keys that can click a series of keys, often considered the extra keys on your gaming keyboard)

My personal suggestion is a Razer keyboard, fancy, only kind of expensive, very backlit and has holes for usb mic and audio to go through it. I use the blue one that came with free O-rings, but after a while some of the keys started doing some weird things, oddly enough that doesn't seem to be a common problem with razer keyboards, as well as it was pretty fixable with filter keys and also if I wasn't lazy I could've gotten it fixed since any product of theirs has a 1 year warranty if you buy it off the website.

Razer synapse works great, i can set up a macro on the fly in the middle of a game in less that 30 seconds, and it works with other razer gear, which is great for me, because I can mute my headset or (if I recall) change the sensitivity of my mouse.

However, That's coming from someone with minimal experience outside of razer, and my number one reason for picking it was because I liked the click of the keys better than other mechanical keyboards (though they sell silent versions as well) Some people also have problems with the font the letters are in on the keyboard, if you read the letters on your keyboard as you type you may have problems for the first week since some of the letters look a lil funny, with the high-tech look they go for.

Also, although I'm pretty sure most gaming keyboards have them, it does have the magical FN key that I do so love (allows you to use extra key functions)

All in all, other than the occasional extra letter, I've never had a problem with the keyboard. Pretty easy to clean too. Also, one thing i suggest no matter what is make sure your keyboard keys have actuation feedback, I personally think knowing you clicked a key is more important than that 0.006 second you save when double-clicking said key, well, actually it doesn't really save you that much.

I also hear corsair makes good stuff, I was thinking about trying them when i get new peripherals.
