CRITIQUE ME. I haven't drawn in over a year, and just woke up this morning and decided "I'M GOING TO DRAW KASHYA.

There are two pictures; they're essentially the same, but I darkened the second one just because the first was so damn light.

Larger pictures that can actually zoom in to finer detail are here.

ALSO. Keep in mind that I am not finished with these; they're just really, really rough sketches up for critique.

Critique! I like critique!

The only glaring flaw I can see is that the arm on the right needs to be bigger. Size it up to match the one on the left, that one looks big enough. Remember, if a person's arm is hanging flat by their side, the elbow will align with the belly button. Measure how long her arm would be if it was hanging by her side, then rotate it to the pose.

Make sure both hands would come to rest mid-thigh. Then fold them in/ half that. That should help with judging that.

ALRIGHT. I took another stab at it on the same foundation, but messed with a few things and put a tad more detail, as well as sprucing the sketch lines up. Gimme more suggestions before I put this thing through the electronic shading machine that is Photoshop.

AND, ultimately, this is my end project. After a crisis of how I should go about this shading business, I finally concluded with "Hell, I'll just use the outline and paper crumples." That's..essentially what I did. I ramped up the threshold on the outline to accentuate seams and crumples in the paper to accentuate the shading. With that, I just colored in Kashya with a layer underneath the outline.

Thanks. And uhh, I drew the outline on paper and used GIMP to shade it.
