Born in a poorly clad shack on a river bank in Reaper's March, Te'ran was raised in major isolation until his early adulthood. Growing as an only child to a violent mother and debilitating father, most daily tasks were thrusted upon Te'ran's agenda without the proper aid of either parent, until his ultimate departure around his early twenties. While his attitude would lie generally complacent and obedient, Te'ran would finally snap in his late adolescence. With undesirable living arrangements and unreliable support, Te'ran would progressively grow bolder in accusing his parents for their mistreatment of him. This would oftentimes resort in violent action brought on by his mother, to which Te'ran would retaliate by vandalising her belongings. This would finally be brought to a halt, however, when Te'ran's mother would attempt to murder him with some makeshift stabbing-object from a sharpened branch. After fleeing, Te'ran found new, hopeful motivation in the endeavor of changing attitudes for the better; while he would not know how, Te'ran would find a new goal in unifying all peoples under the emotion of joy.

In his twenty-second year, Te'ran would arrive in the town of Rawl'kha, where he would find an acting troupe performing a song and dance, followed by a brief play on the murder of a wealthy noble. Reacting with utter fascination, Te'ran would insist on joining the acting troupe in an effort to lighten the hearts of others. After a hearty welcome, Te'ran held overwhelming conviction in his goals: To unify the people of Tamriel, under the name of performance.

As the years continued, Te'ran would find the company of a young Suthay-Raht that held the same ideals of unification. Under the pledge of Mara, the two were married in the company of his acting troupe; the two would get along famously, always ready to lend a hand to the unfortunate. Te'ran's marriage would not last, however. In his twenty-ninth year, after five years of marriage, Te'ran's mate would suffer from an unexpected illness, and meet her demise while performing with Te'ran on stage. As the audiences applauded the realistic death mid-performance, Te'ran would only hold the image in horror while attempting to carry the dead Khajiit off-stage. After her death, Te'ran pledged never to marry again; as a reminder of this, he would pluck a sapphire ring worn by the female Khajiit from her hand, and ring a small, leather band around it. Even now, Te'ran wears the makeshift necklace as a constant reminder of her presence.

Te'ran would go a bit off the deep end as his personality slowly shifted into something spontaneous and borderline annoying. At this point, Te'ran would hole up in a shell founded only on his acting personality; he would leave his acting troupe and visit towns on occasion with the meager amount of coin he possessed. Te'ran would hold a heavy depression until his thirty-first year, upon joining the Scarlet Reavers. After losing most of his coin due to robbery, Te'ran used what was left of his funds to afford a one-way trip to Khenarthi's Roost.

After hours of aimless wandering on the small island, the Khajiit would stumble upon the band of pirates docked on the coast. With little attention as to who or what they were, Te'ran managed to get caught up in their acts by wandering onto the ship; in an instant, he was hired, and would take it with great stride. Seeing this as an opportunity to perform once more, Te'ran's attitude would peak to points unseen since his initial fit of depression. These travels would lead him to Valenwood, where he continues to insistently perform to the crowds, in hopes that he can fulfill his and his mate's wishes of unifying Tamriel under the joy of performance.
