A letter addressed to the leader of Platoon 15 of the Dominion. Written in near perfect penmanship, and carefully folded and secured. Without opening the letter, it looked like something someone would give to a loved one.

((I can't find my old parchment, so I'm just pasting this one))
S’har,

Teacher, master, friend. I no longer know how to refer to you. I know you’ve been in town recently, and rumor has it you might even have found a new mate. I don’t live too far out that I don’t still hear news from the town. I miss it sometimes, but there is no reason for me to be there. My studies of magic has taken me far beyond what I thought it would, and I find myself hungry for more. The tomes I’ve managed to buy or steal haven’t been enough to quench my desire for knowledge. I have not found a stop to my magical ability, and sometimes I fear I may hurt Arbrelie with my magic, she manages to keep me in check, but I fear I may be driven mad by hunger for more. The few spells on my pets…. Have caused strange side effects. I will not go into detail, but Arbrelie was not pleased when I told her. I don’t think it will matter for much longer. There is only one place left I can go for more knowledge, and that place will surely be my end. Apocrypha. A place only whispered umong the most insane of people. Yet, I find myself drawing closer to it. Have I become under the influence of a prince? I can’t understand why if so. I’m not special. I’m a hermit, I sit at home and do nothing but read and study magic. Yet, everytime I see the name, or mention of one of those books…. It’s like a call from a majestic bird. Alluring. What if I got my hands on one of those books? All of that knowledge… Such knowledge that has been stolen from this plane. S’har, I fear I am going crazy. I wish I had more purpose than these dusty tomes, but I can’t bring myself to return to town. I doubt they want me back. Even now, as they are constantly under attack, I know I can’t return to help them. I just hope your help is enough. I know it’s enough. You’re the only warrior I know that could turn such a battle.

With fear,
Varilora
