So those of you in university or who have been in university may be familiar with Spoon Assassins, sometimes simply called Assassins. Well, we'll be playing it ICly this week!
For those of you unfamiliar, Spoon Assassins is basically a game of tag, where you must tag someone with your spoon. This represents the act of "killing" the person. There is no actual assassination, and no characters will die or be injured.
Obviously, you can't really have a spoon in-game, so the moderator of the game (me) will pass out silly-named items that will act as your "spoon." The game will run from 5/30 – 6/6, with "weapons" passed out by Elsy on 5/30, and prizes passed out to those with the most "kills" on 6/6.
In order to "kill" your target, you must RP out in /emote your attempt at a tag action, linking your weapon into the sentence. Then you and your target will roll 1d20 against each other in a public room ( https://rolz.org/dr?room=Blue%20Skooma%20Roleplay password: "spoonassassins").
The one with the higher roll wins.
>>If the hitman wins, they collect the target's item and their new target becomes the one that was assigned to their target. They must also use the last item collected to tag the new target with.
>>If the target wins, they disarm the hitman and collect their item. Targets do not need to use hitman items to go after their target.
The person with the most items collected from their kills at the end of a week or two wins the prize.
[elsynia nighwind] Sneaks up behind Ali and attempts to set a [potato] on his head.
Go into public dice roll room.
Elsy rolls an 8.
Ali rolls a 3.
Elsy's kill succeeds. She must use Ali's item [stale sweetroll], and Lucrezia is now her target.
---A few days later---
[elsynia nighwind] Drops from a nearby tree branch attempts to press a [stale sweetroll] into Lu's face.
Go into public dice roll room.
Elsy rolls a 4.
Lu rolls an 11.
[lucrezia] Ducks and evades the [stale sweetroll].
Elsy is killed by target. Lu's gets Elsy's item though does not have to tag next target with it.
The rules are as follows (reworked for the in-game):
1.) A kill must be done so that no other people see you. This means no witnesses.
2.) You CANNOT throw items. They must be in your hand to tag the target.
3.) You're not allowed to tell anyone who your target is. You're not allowed to tell anyone who someone else's target is should you happen to find out. Only exception is when a target is being passed along from a just-tagged target to their hitman.
4.) You MUST whisper your target before you go in for the tag emote, to make sure they're not busy or in the middle of another RP and are available for dice rolling.
5.) You MUST only make a hit with the character you've signed up with. Hopping onto an alt to make a hit is strictly forbidden and very cheat-y.
6.) You MUST be in online mode to make a "kill".
7.) You MUST make the "kill" only with the item given to you or the item last collected from a target.
Violation of any rules results in automatic disqualification.
You can post in this thread or find Elsy ICly at the event on Monday May 30th @10pm EST to join.
