Mirri is a petite, well-proportioned Bosmer with brown hair and piercing, green eyes that have a tendency to burn with a fiery intensity when she is angry. Despite her small size, she is curvy, a fact that many males find attractive, along with her somewhat exotic, Bosmer eyes. Mirri usually wears simple outfits that are designed for practicality, though when the occasion demands she is more than happy to show a little bit of skin to get her way. She always wears a single, leather chord knotted around her forehead. Unknown to anyone, this leather cord was a present from her mother, a simple adornment that she keeps because it reminds her of the one person that loved her.
Personality:
On first meeting, Mirri comes across as a cute, vivacious and charming young Bosmer with great skill at dancing and playing the lute. To men (or women who are so inclined), she can come across as flirty and free. To those that possess something she needs, she can be a deep friend, eager to help and seemingly kind. However, to judge Mirri from first impressions is to make a terrible mistake.
Her hard life has conditioned Mirri into something of a sociopath. While she is outwardly charming and easy to like, at heart she is ruthlessly calculating. She is determined to not only enrich herself, but also to avenge herself upon the societal structures she believes have done her harm. She reserves a special hatred for the Altmer of the Dominion and traditional Bosmer, the two groups that she feels have wronged her the most. In her pursuit of revenge for the pettiest of sleights, she is more than happy to manipulate, use and even kill others. While not a rage-fueled murderer, Mirri is perfectly fine with the idea of others dying, so long as she ends out on top.
That said, Mirri does have a deep-seated longing (one she will never admit to?) desire for true friendship and love. Her mother died, leaving her an orphan and on her own. Thus, she is highly reluctant to become too attached to anyone or anything, and feels that only thing in life she can count on is herself. Perhaps someone can unlock the soft, fluffy side to this cold-hearted Bosmer killer, or perhaps not. She is also asexual, having no sexual attraction to either side, though she is quite capable of faking it with either sex in order to achieve a goal.
Background:
Mirri was born to a small, traditional clan of Bosmer in northern Grahtwood. However, shortly after her birth, her mother was accused by the Spinners of violating the Green Pact and forced to flee (Mirri does not know exactly what the violation was). Fleeing from Valenwood, her mother took Mirri to Vulkhel Guard, where she scraped out a living as a tavern maid and prostitute. While she was able to provide enough for Mirri to make it to early childhood, such a hard life took its toll and her mother died when Mirri was still a small child.
From there, Mirri grew up wandering the streets in Vulkhel Guard and Skywatch, travelling between them by hiding herself on merchant caravans. As she grew up, she developed a deep, cold hatred of the arrogant Altmer (who often humiliated or exploited her) and for the Bosmer who had forced her mother to flee in the first place. Driven by this hatred, as well as a need to survive, she began to engage in criminal activity. At first, she simply stole food and coin here and there to survive. However, the point of no return came for her when she was robbing a wealthy Altmer merchant in Skywatch. The merchant returned home early and Mirri, caught by surprise, killed him with her dagger.
She was never charged with the murder as there was no evidence, but from this killing, Mirri realized that she wasn't as defenseless as she had always thought. As the years went on, she delved more and more into illegal activities, ranging from armed robbery to murder for hire. Throughout it all, she maintained a fierce independent from Thieves' or Assassins' organizations, an independence driven by her deep hatred and suspicion for anything that vaguely smacked of authority. She was also able to remain fairly unnoticed, keeping her activities quiet enough to not draw the attention of the guard.
Mirri was eventually drafted, around 18 years, to serve in the Dominion's campaigns in Cyrodiil, where she worked as a Scout. While her superiors were impressed with her abilities (especially with a bow and with scouting), they were also infuriated by her insubordination and refusal to follow orders. Mirri left the military after a rocky three years and moved back to settle in Dominion lands. While she may hate the Admeri Dominion and its Altmer overlords, she also sees the vast potential for money to be made.
