Levian fled Cyrodiil for reasons currently unknown to anyone but himself. By his own accounts, he left because of sick family, a daedra attack on his manor, chasing the man of his dreams, and even for the pure joy of camping. Either way he seems to have traveled to Vulkwasten with nothing more than a staff, a book, a gold ring, and the robes on his back.
Background
Levian Civenus grew up in a privileged family. When he showed an aptitude for destruction magic his parents enrolled him in dueling lessons. Levian, a boy of 12, disliked them at first, but the first real friend he had made in his life convinced him to continue the studies. The years passed slowly between schooling and dueling, but the two grew inseparable. Then one day Daedra rained from the sky. The two stood their ground to defend their countrymen, but Levian's partner fell to a daedroth, overwhelmed. The remaining mage made his way from the burning ruins and disappeared into the world. His next notable interaction with sentient life not actively attempting to make a meal of him set him towards Valenwood, under the pretense of studying Bosmeri culture.
