I've been working on this collection of journals in my spare time to allows others the opportunity to see just how much Kashya has actually been looking for a cure to her lycanthropic afflictions. Enjoy.
21st of Frostfall
"The love of hearth and home was something I looked upon as a child,
but it has since then been replaced with self-righteousness and pride."
It has been quite some time since my last journey into the realm of literature, and so, I find it a rather adequate time to pick up my little stick of charcoal, here, and get a bit of writing in. That being said, I also find it a rather convenient time to share my findings with myself, if only to remember certain events and difficulties as they come to me.
Last month, I returned to Vulkwasten with the quiet, but nevertheless existent idea in the very back of my consciousness to eradicate my lycanthropy. Whether or not this would actually prove successful is yet to be seen; in the past, I had merely toyed with the idea of being free from this affliction, but never genuinely considered the option of doing so until now. As long as I am not hurting anyone, however, I should be alright for a bit.
I hate it, however. The sleepless nights, and the general necessity to feed this damned affliction. I make little note of it in town other than my rigorous defending of my affliction, but nobody seems to know what occurs underneath. The constant fighting against myself, there is something left to be desired.
13th of Sun's Dusk
Last week, I hired a mage and teleported back to Skywatch in an attempt to receive advice from local scholars. As I was there, I had decided to visit my father, and finally admit the truth as to why my brothers were dead: We were caught in an ambush, and attacked by werewolves near a cultists' camp in the Valenwood. I was infected. Lili was not. My father was horrified, and stuck in an ethical debate against whether or not he should report my infection, but decided against it after realizing that the Dominion would just exterminate me like a common household pest, if they knew.
Instead, he sent me to another source that may have more information; I later visited a nearby library and received my first, real hint of evidence in regard to exorcising my affliction: Certain priests would remove the affliction, but for a very high price. I know not what that price is, and I hardly even know what kind of "priests" these people are, but I am willing to experiment nevertheless.
31st of Evening Star
A human sacrifice. They need a human sacrifice. What are my options, however? Can I just kidnap any certain bandit to transfer my disease, or must I find someone I care about? I hardly think I could do the latter. I do know that I need to take action, however. I have been looking for months; I hardly think anybody else would have had luck as well as mine, and now, the option stares me down. I will heavily consider this.
7th of Evening Star
Minjua has offered to sacrifice herself for me. It is completely unexpected, but this is my option.
I have little to write, other than, "I hope this works."
I'm off to kill my friend.
