Kashi is a rather short individual, and other Khajiit might recognize him as a Suthay, one of the smallest breeds and comparable to Bosmer in height. He prides himself on the scant couple of inches taller that he is than most wood elves, though; even if it still puts him well below the average Khajiit.

Kashi is a keenly observant individual, eyes flitting about and taking in the details around him often times without him realizing his attention is drifting. He is well aware of his small size and the disadvantages this often brings, and is quick to retreat from conflict that isn’t skewed in his favor, often earning him a reputation of being cowardly, even if the short list of foes he brings down would say otherwise.
Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?
Kashi is a former dunmer slave who recently earned his freedom through less than savory means and arrived first in Anvil, and later Dominion territories due to his race’s political affiliations.
Background
At a glance Kashi is an unassuming individual though bearing a past worth sharing, assuming the story he’s telling is the whole truth, at least. Kashi was apprenticed to his village’s local doctor before being taken as a slave by dunmer raiders. His knowledge of medicine, though limited, proved to be a well appreciated talent amongst the other slaves once he was sold off.
For years his life was mundane, working plantations and treating the illnesses and injuries of the other slaves with what materials he had to do so, expanding his knowledge through experience and practice. This simple life was brought to an unfortunate end when his slavers learned of his birthsign, the Atronach, and put him to better use.
A nest of vampires had long plagued his masters’ properties and eager for a solution that didn’t cost the lives of his own soldiers, he decided to train a slave to set loose upon the bloodsuckers instead. Kashi was chosen in part because of his race; Khajiit were well known for seeing in the dark, as well as their keen sense of hearing and smell. Though the young medic in particular was picked because of his birthsign: The Atronach. The young man was naturally resistant to magic, and passively absorbed it even from spells cast upon him. This resistance didn’t make the Khajiit immune by any measure, but spells took more effort to take root or to do as much harm as they would to anyone else. His master hoped this might give just enough edge against vampires who relied too heavily on their life draining and charming magics.
Kashi was taught the basics of how to fight with daggers and a bow, as well as how to properly move about undetected and a few useful spells to empower these developing talents. The young Khajiit proved willing and compliant, his master believing his will was broken, though Kashi prefers to say that he was simply being patient.
Eventually the harrowing came, and he was sent to a cave where a vampire was believed to be hiding. How exactly that confrontation went is not known in any detail to anyone but Kashi, but the night following his "successful" slaying of a vampire, the Khajiit, at least supposedly, somehow killed his master, the slavers family, and his guards before stealing everything of value he could carry and fleeing to the nearest imperial port. Curiously, though, it seems he didn't act alone.
