Who should take GM?

So, as mentioned from the meeting today, I've decided over the coming months I'd like to begin a transition and step down.

I’ve been doing this for 2 years, and I’m now feeling like I’m at a point in my life where I need to step down and focus on my things. My graduating in a few weeks is going to start my jump into non-student life, and I’ll have to find a job and hopefully start some sort of career, which will be easier to do when I’ve not got a guild on my shoulders.

I’d also like to experience the guild as a member after all these years, and RP how I’d like without worrying if the guild needs a specific character or IC story push from someone in a certain direction.

I AM NOT LEAVING. I’ll be training the next GM and stepping down to officer, then drop down to member once I’m no longer needed. I also still own the freakin’ Discord server so you can’t get rid of me. c:

I’d like to urge everyone that’s interested and thinks they have the time and desire to help the guild, to apply for officership, as the admin team will have open positions.

As far as IC leadership change, I’ve decided I’d like to revive the old council. That means 4 townspeople of good standing, who have been there a decent amount of time and have helped the community (and who can OOCly be around on that character relatively frequently), plus the Marshal (Thorn) will be the IC leaders. Council would have to vote on large decisions regarding punishment/law/Dominion interception of certain things (i.e. the Tory thing recently)/business/etc.

Elsy would be like a retired advisor (but you can still call her Treethane if it makes you feel better :P ), and she’d serve as another voice on the council if there is a lot of difficulty in the decision making and they’d like her input. Otherwise, she’ll just continue to help make rotmeth at the tavern and export it, to make the tavern more gold.

15494643 has expressed interest in taking over the position. None of the officers have expressed grievances with this, and after a year (or more) of interacting with him, I believe he's capable of not only fulfilling the position, but helping the guild grow and provide more opportunities for character interactivity than before.

I'd like everyone's feedback. Obviously we'd like the majority of members to be alright with him being GM before we go through with it. What does everyone think? Remember to be respectful in your posts if you disagree, and even if you do agree. Constructive criticism is helpful.

Don't forget to vote, too!

I have spoken with several members, in the past, about the plausibility of a leadership change, and their critique on the situation as a whole. Now that this is taking place in the foreseeable future, I would, again, like the opinion of the community.

Much like everyone else, I have to deal with the many falters and uncertainties of reality, but have found a significant amount of time to handle the position; I would ask, however, that I receive critique for the position. I am not out to dictate rules; I believe in reformity, and social effort to better the community as a whole. If you do not think that I am suitable for the position, I would sincerely ask that you tell me why, as any and all critique will be beneficial to the position. The guild, as a whole, means a fair bit to me, and I would like to see nothing more than its success for years to come.

As long as there's no dirt thrown, I'm in.

Who knew, that day on the beach Kashya really did become Queen. I'm in support of this. Kash has been very active and involved in everything, even when he sounds busy. He's still been around and engaging even when he "can't find RP" or doesn't want to participate in the current happenings(mean that as a positive). I can't think of anything negative at this time, but haven't really seen Kash run events or do more of the "public" managing, outside of the behind the curtains things going on.

I can't think of a better fit when it comes to all of the factors that go into it.
