Experiment One: I had attempted to trace the root cause of the spell back to when we first had an issue. Know solution for curing the tree was a concoction that causes weakness, and then a vast amount of Vigor regeneration poured straight into the source. I have replicated the potion and rubbed it over my skin. I then attempted to restore my own vigor. Results:
1: The vigor potion might help out with alleviating the symptoms of the disease, but it does not cure it. It seems as though this spell has evolved entirely past a regular weakness spell. It’s having a much deeper and more invasive effect.
Experiment Two: My research has lead me to believe the root spell is a Weakness spell. The mage in the cell, and I believe one other person told me this as well. The mage said she started there, and then used Alteration to change the plants look. I have attempted to cast Strengthen on myself, to counter the Weakness spell. I then attempted natural healing through potions. Results:
2: Again, the strength spell works normally, but it doesn’t cure the disease. It seems the disease is not just a weakness spell anymore.
Experiment Three: I’ve gone back to the basics. I’ve attempted some Cure Disease potions, and some minor healing potions. Results:
3: Upon more focused experimentation, Elandra may discover that cure disease potions, and healing potions work SLIGHTLY. The effect is almost entirely reversed within a few seconds though as the disease comes right back.
Experiment Four: I’ve since run out of ideas already. This spells is far too much for me to truly understand. So I’m just going to attempt some other cures I know of for things like this. I’ve rubbed fertilizer all over my skin. This disease started on trees, so maybe that will help. Results:
4: Elandra smells like cow shit.
Experiment Five: I’ve siphoned all My Magicka from my body and stored it in a Vessel. I then took clean Magicka from another Vessel. Results:
5: This seems to have more of an effect. As this weakness spell seems to have a connection to magicka. Oddly enough though, the disease comes right back, just as in the case with the potions.

Experiment Six: I have tried hypnosis. Another has put me under their spell and instructed me to focus my mind. Results: ((Already had her focused for a little, but I doubt this is the cure))
6: The focused mind comes with a few new possible revelations 1: That the disease is spread via area of effect rather than any normal pathways. 2: That the disease may actually be more magical in nature. And 3: that something is sustaining the spell, and almost ‘recasting it’ over and over again. Thus the reason why dispel magic spells haven’t been working. The magic can be dispelled, but it just comes right back.
Experiment Seven: I read something long ago about diseases that change the color of a person’s skin. Usually these changes were to purple or green. I tried using this spell on myself. Results: ((Probably just turned herself purple. But she wants to know the effect on the disease.))
7: Elandra is now a bright shade of purple, or blue.
Experiment Eight: The Results from my lasts tests show some promising leads. I now smell like cow shit, and am a bright Blue. But I am determined to find this cure. Upon the Hypnosis it seems like something is recasting this spell. I think I know exactly what it is. I went down to the mage in the Cell and attempted to try my spells on her. If any guards showed up I explained to them I’m finding a cure, and they should leave me alone. I Drained the Magicka of the girl, and once more dumped it into a vessel. Once She was devoid of all Magicka, I attempted to cast Strengthen on her, at the same time I made her drink a Cure Disease potion. Results: The spell faded for a brief moment, and then suddenly exploded. It’s as if once it knew it was going to die, it brought forth a log of magicka.
Experiment Nine: I had Ardene drain me of my Magicka again, and then she casted a ward over me, blocking all outside sources of Magicka, and any outside spells. I had her use an old Glyph I used to use. It should protect me from Any and all spells coming in. To ensure maximum success, I made sure she kept all of my magicka gone, and I drank a few healing potions at the same time. Results:
9: This would successfully ward of the progression of the disease. Though the side effect of not having magicka is that anyone trying this would not have be able to cast any spells. The healing potions would make the effects of the sickness almost negligible, though as soon as any spell blocking magic wears off, runs out of charge, or is otherwise removed, the disease comes right on back to anyone within Vulkwasten’s town limits. Also, any items enchanted to ward off this kind of magic are prohibitively expensive, and require some powerful souls, and items well crafted enough to hold the magic needed to maintain a constant effect. This is something that could reasonably save people from death, but it is not viable as an instant cure.
Experiment 10: I am removing the Gem from the mage. It seems to be the cause of all of this. Experiments out of town have stopped the disease, but as soon as I return I am once more afflicted. I am going to remove the gem from her hand, and if that doesn’t work, I’m going to remove her hand. I will then take the gem a safe distance from town, and destroy it. With whatever is left of the damn gem, I am going to send it straight to Bethany on the Mage Island. She will want to study it. A capsule has been prepared with wards to ensure that the gem will have no ways to contact the outside world. Results: Removing the gem and smashing it worked briefly. I didn’t need to send away the remains. As soon as the gem was smashed it was useless. However, the spell was still there.

Experment… 11? I don’t know anymore. Kashya had to kill her. She was the last conduit of the spell. As soon as that blade sunk into her back…. The spell was gone. You could feel it…. At least it’s over. Gods be with her.
