Since returning to the village on trips, I have reaffirmed my hatred for it. 'Oh, Hloriella, what of the charm of the forest? The green of the jungle, the tang of the local meats?' F'leh! If charm is considered shoeing away flesh flies and beetles the size of my fist, or if taste is something unimportant in food or the local drink perhaps. The hunting here is good enough. Lots of pelts. I fucking can't wait to quit hunting.
I swore up and down to be rid of the jungle, yet here I am. Back. It does not matter. Few people in the village know my face nowadays. I suppose it could be worse. I do wonder if Reliza is still pissed at me? I wonder if I can dare him to shave his head. Things have been far too dull lately. Or perhaps that is just because I have been away? Lu's hair seems to be growing back.
I have not see the Not-Nord woman drunk on my visits. Would be a shame if she gave up such a vice. Though, finding oneself hopping and running around naked like a drunk fool might be enough to turn some away. Some.
I keep hearing rumors of a guard in the village who weeps a lot. First I thought Fedris but, no, he has only just signed back up. I should ask some of these new faces.
I grow curious. And bored. And this stupid slobbering wet nosed thing won't stop staring at me.
