---------Basic Information------------------------
ESO @name: @Risilyra
Character Name: Basks-by-Sea
Race: Argonian
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Marital Status: Not Looking for Anyone
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Affliction: None

---------Physical Description------------------------
Basks is a somewhat short argonian with medium grey scales, three small spikes at the back of her jaw bone, two modest sized ones on the centerline of her head and one on either side at the back of her head. She's nearly andogynous looking, being very small of breast, having only moderate hips and figure, and generally plain looking. Her small, deepset eyes are yellow-green.

---------Flairs------------------------
She wears a very high quality fighting axe on either hip and does move like she knows how to handle them. (Mechanically speaking her axes could could be called vampiric as they take lifeforce from her enemies and give them to her. It would be nice to have something like this in the RP, say, if she rolled a natural 20 - but that might unbalance things or be unfair ? )
Her fighting style is mobile, using hit and run, maneuverability and as much as possible will try to position enemies between herself and other allies so they can be attacked from behind. (argonian guerilla tactics) She augments her solid fighting abilities with moderate strength magic.
Being raised mostly as a homesteader outside of a small village she was forced to learn a bit of every crafting skill, and is passable with them though not a master by any stretch of the imagination.
When she can't get a job as a caravan guard (for the travel) she'll practice whatever craft seems to give her the best income in the local area.

---------Personality------------------------
Basks is friendly, laid back, and not easily provoked. Even though an uncle left her a comfortable little house near stormhaven she seldom stays there and her itenerent lifestyle means she is usually poor. Even so she refuses to steal or sell herself, and hates slavers with a passion. All other morals are flexible.
She has the usual Argonian casual approach to death, believing strongly that all argonians will be united in the Hist and reborn again later while the bodies will enrich the natural cycle of things. She assumes the other races will enrich the natural cycle in death, but doesn't really care about their afterlife beliefs; not so much that she's bigotted, just myopic.
Not particularly heroic and not afraid to run if the situation seems to warrant it.

Likes:
-seeing new places, especially big cities; can get overwhelmed then returns to a smaller villages or even solitude.
-freshwater fish, especially smoked
-the sand and sea
-warm sun or cool rain on her scales

Dislikes:
-Slavers
-can't really imagine being "with" a smooth-skin; finds the idea slightly slightly distasteful.

Strengths:
-moderately skilled in many crafts
-good at tracking and survival in all sorts of outdoor settings

Weaknesses:
-slightly naive
-myopic
-uneducated except in the reverence of the Hist

---------Background------------------------

Born in the Argonian settlement at Ebonheart, after her father -a menial laborer- died in an accident the lack of compassion and the constant scorn of the dunmer community was too much for her mother who took her 'home' to Shadowfen. Most of her growing up years were spent in the fens and marshes outside Hissimir. Travel to Mud Treee Village was a rare treat and she never went to anywhere as big or far away as stormhold.

Her memories of Ebonheart were vague as a child, but she remembers the sea -which gave her her name- and the longing for both it and the difference in environments between 'home' and Ebonheart left her with an insatiable desire for the far-away. For this reason she leapt at the chance when an opportunity arose to travel as a menial and jack-of-all-trades with a merchant caravan. The first caravan travelled the shadowfen which brought her to the glamor of life in the big city of Stormhold. She was taken by the bustle and liveliness and variety and wanted more so she stayed and peddled her wares until she got a job with another caravan. After a year spent happily travelling the route between Stormhold, Mournold and Ebonheart, the caravan was waylaid and she and several others lived only because they ran. The helpless feeling gnawed at her until she joined the fighters guild to learn to fight and the mages guild to learn her magics.

Eventually one of her father's egg-brothers died and left her a comfortable house in the shadowfen, but she seldom goes there unless she feels the need for a retreat to solitude.

After learning to fight and cast she hired on with any caravan she could; the further it travelled the better. Eventually she became known as a decent, stable and reliable guard and got more offers. One of the merchants neglected to mention that the cargo was contraband and the route had them passing near the combat in Cyrodil. On that trip her outdoors and fighting skills were severely challenged and honed. Emerging on the other side of the war zone she found herself in the Dominion. She was a little nervous at first, thinking she'd be attacked on sight but found that most people ignored her origins or assumed she was from an unaligned part of the blackmoors.
